Presumably all those who criticise Boris's spending plans as being 'pie in the sky' and 'unaffordable' will have no problem if Boris keeps the £39 billion to put in the kitty then. True test of their allegiance.

SR If your point is that no deal, cliff edge Brexit is bad for LLOY, then tell us something we don't already know. We've seen the share price move up and down with the twists and turns of Brexit for the last 3 years. Business and bankers don't like uncertainty, never have done and never will. However, brexit isn't about making banks and business happy with their narrow, short term view of the world.

Alp, I agree there are quite a few in the UK who fit.But it's not important now, almost all of them lost their seats.

Ladeside The voting public had no idea what they were voting for, weren't told there'd be no deal with Corbyn! Why aren't you calling for a re-run? LOL!

"Rick Gates, the former deputy campaign chairman and inaugural official for President Donald Trump, was sentenced Tuesday to 45 days in jail on weekends and three years of probation, winning leniency for the crimes of conspiracy and making a false statement..."

There would be quite a few candidates in the UK.

mitchy : Your post 5320 refers - Glad you took the 67p. Good call. I've stayed out for the time being. Missed yesterday's rise but avoided today's fall back. Will re-assess when froth and bubble has abated somewhat. Can't see much upward momentum until Finals'in February...indeed it's more likely to be a slowly downward drifting share price is my take. Quite a few UK focused stocks could well be subject to a degree of shorting post 'the Boris Bounce'. Early 2020 could well present a very good buying opportunity.
