BobMaybe, but such a strong expression of public opinion along with a petition of 5million signatures will make politicians think about what will happen at the ballot box if they make a mess of this (which is almost inevitable the way things have gone so far), in which case the only way out of this for them is a second referendum.Hard brexiteers don't want this because they are cowards who have wanted to force a no deal brexit from the start despite all their talk of a Norwegian style agreement to lure the vote their way, no they fear as they should that a people's vote will blow their agenda for a complete break from europe out of the water.

It seems at a demonstration in the English capital yesterday a sign quoting David Davis was on show .
It said ;’if a democracy cannot change its mind it ceases to be a democracy ‘!
A laudable sentiment but nothing to do with a populist turn out of citizens .
In this U.K. , parliament is sovereign , not as in Scotland where it is the people !
If parliament was to respond to populist agendas we would probably be executing those found guilty of murder and treason .
The way to change policy is via ballot box .
Does anyone actually believe that a crowd no matter the numbers will have any sway in changing brexiteers opinion whether they be in Tory government , life long labour anti EU campaigners, DUP , ERG or any narrow minded little Englander whether above or below the Watford Gap .
It might , as with the anti Iraq war march, make you feel better about yourself but as far as newsworthy ness it is forgotten already .
