14/8/2017 16:44 | Thanks CT. Was only trying to clarify if there was any substance behind your "guesses". Seems to me that any micro cap would give their eye teeth for a deal like this. I'd guess that Apple will promote their stores in the run up to Christmas and again for New Year sales. I'd also assume that the deal will not be for free stock, but for supply on usual trade terms. I'd also assume that this deal will provide insight from Apple as to where they think the market is going. In other words the inside track on where to focus new product development. If the product range gets traction then I'd expect an international roll out by Apple and an attempt to buy the company. | brownie69
14/8/2017 15:36 | The new kit has 2 way comms which is a game changer. | whoppy
14/8/2017 15:31 | I think the biggest thing to have hit sales over the last two years was the announcement of these 2nd gen products as consumers held off expanding their system. I can forsee Apples stores not being able to hold enough stock to cope with demand. | kevc09
14/8/2017 15:24 | The phrase in question is "LightwaveRF's next generation Apple HomeKit range will be on sale in Apple retail stores in the UK and the UAE, online via apple.com and at other selected retail outlets. There will be an extensive marketing campaign to publicise the new range to both current and potential new users" Several points 1) "Selected" Apple retail stores , some stocking required 2) UAE - new market 3) October is retailers stocking time for Christmas. 4) New Iphone release likely Late Sept / Early October 5) Homepod launch Early Dec 2017 Will Apple pay everything upfront for stock? Probably not, it will cost Will Apple advertise heavily for Christmas 2017 their Homepod? Almost certainly Will this attract LWRF sales? Proven by Alexa. Will LWRF also promote at least to their old customers and none Apple business. Probably and it will cost. Should Christmas prove a success will Apple roll out to all their stores? Draw your own conclusions, but this is setup for a big Apple push for Christmas 2017 and LWRF will be dragged along, providing they meet their dates with reliable APPs and products. | sinkyj
14/8/2017 14:52 | Info about their new deaL from CEO | loobrush
14/8/2017 14:10 | brownie69,I am only to pleased to satisfy your request to reply: If you read the post in question, I made it very clear that it was nothing more than a "guess" as I stated, and as regards to supplying stock I only made a suggestion of what they "might for example" do. You must not assume these things just because I or anyone else flag an idea that might one day turn out to be closer to reality than getting a huge wack of an order that shows a high gross level of profit. Smart Homes might take a little longer than some had flagged to be the next big spend, more so as budgets tighten if interest rates rise. For example, how many homes now have solar panels to heat water etc. in the UK? | clocktower
14/8/2017 13:33 | CT, can you answer this please? CT, What evidence do you have for your claims that LWRF are going to have to supply initial stock FOC or spend huge sums promoting it? I will take a non answer to mean that you have zero evidence and fabricated your story. | brownie69
14/8/2017 12:06 | LOL - sinkyj - Good Luck. | clocktower
14/8/2017 11:13 | Although curretly Lightwave is loss making they have spent a lot of cash developing and improving their products and now have Apple,Amazon and other approval backing and an up to date product range. The money has been spent and now they will reap the rewards. Look at IQE-20p a year ago and loss making-now 135p today and on a probable growth rate of 20% plus per annum. Could happen here also. | loobrush
14/8/2017 11:05 | I see 30p nearly. 11m mcap. Seems pretty cheap now with all the advances in technology from the big players and voice control now dominating home automation and all the other voice control possibilities. Read a story about how a family were alerted to a break in at their house and they had security cameras which they could view on their phone. On seeing the burglar they called the police and a family member and the burglar legged it when they turned up. Security is the next thing LWRF are getting into and will give a new dimension to the company once they have the camera released. There is the commercial side and the Warwick Uni trial which showed lots of cost savings. | whoppy
14/8/2017 10:46 | I can assure you CT, Apple will promote the range, which is nothing but good news. Apple are behind Amazon et al in Home automation now and they need a big win to catch up with Homekit and Homepod in the UK and US. LWRF will not be providing anything FOC, in fact they might be able to get a very large order based on some sort of Apple exclusivity for the new products. CT, I think you have finally lost the plot. | sinkyj
14/8/2017 10:24 | Clocktower been nothing but negative since he sold. Move on | jmf69
14/8/2017 10:15 | Would be nice | nar1
14/8/2017 09:42 | Quite honestly, I think if Apple like the Homekit products, then Apple will buy out Lightwave. I'm sure they will feel they will recoup their money through future promotion and sales. It's a nice fit for Apple into the Smarthome market. | whoppy
14/8/2017 09:33 | This is fantastic news no doubt about it, getting the Lightwave products in Apple stores takes the company into another dimension. Lightwave is only a microcap but has some great products and only needs to accelerate sales to become profitable and this link up should enable this. The new CEO has certainly made an impression in a short time and by this time next year todays share prices will look like a real bargain. Hang on tight I think this is going places at last. | loobrush
14/8/2017 09:24 | CT, What evidence do you have for your claims that LWRF are going to have to supply initial stock FOC or spend huge sums promoting it? Personally I am reading this as great news for LWRF. | brownie69
14/8/2017 09:04 | Clock tower may I suggest you look for an alternative investment as you clearly see nothing but negativity here. | bentley43
14/8/2017 08:40 | LOL whoopy - they will I guess require a very substantial contribution towards any joint promotion, after all they are in the driving seat. LWRF might for example have to supply all the initial stock FOC. | clocktower
14/8/2017 08:32 | If Apple are stocking and selling it in their shops as Homekit then I'm sure they will do the advertising and promotion, just like all the others. | whoppy
14/8/2017 08:29 | Great news. Lightwaverf should get a boost from the Apple stores and marketing power | jmf69
14/8/2017 08:29 | It is without doubt great news but does anyone want to risk being left holding/buying stock at these levels only to see a huge dilution if they need funds to promote the product and support the business into 2018 whoppy? | clocktower
14/8/2017 08:09 | I think it's great news. Apple are backing the products and opens up a whole new customer base along with the advertising and Apple promotion. A lot of Apple tech lovers out there and they all have homes that need controlling on their iPhones.. | whoppy
14/8/2017 08:05 | Released on Oct 3 2017 but when will Apple stock it? They fail to say when they will put it in their stores. As Apple will not be selling the new devices in the UK until late 2017 or early 2018 - this is not so exciting as it looks - plus they are going to spend to promote - so this could be the run up to the cash call. | clocktower
14/8/2017 07:05 | LightwaveRF plc (AIM: LWRF) Next generation Apple HomeKit range launching in Apple stores LightwaveRF plc ("LightwaveRF" or the "Company"), the leading smart home solutions provider, announces that its next generation Apple HomeKit certified product range, for controlling smart devices with iOS apps and Siri voice commands, will be released on 3 October 2017. LightwaveRF's next generation Apple HomeKit range will be on sale in Apple retail stores in the UK and the UAE, online via apple.com and at other selected retail outlets. 10/8/2017 15:53 | LOL zapa. Yes that did not make sense but you got the flow. Not a good day for some today, with the market dropping around 100 points so far. | clocktower |
