No buys yet today. I wonder why with all the positivity on these boards. Is there any positivity anywhere else?
Looking at the long term graph, for the past 5 years the highs are in a dead straight downtrend. Is this the time that this trend is about to change?

The field trials started on the 23/6/21. I presume they would need at least 4weeks of data collected from these trials at airports schools and hospitals.
Then the data would need to be submitted to the independent laboratory for accreditation. Probably prioritised work at laboratory, a bit of back and forth will probably take place here, asking for data to be collected in slightly different ways possibly? Perhaps upto a further 4weeks. So based on these presumptions I predict results will be published towards mid to late August...

When will the results of the detector be released?

What we know is that according to Simon Thompson, commercialisation starts later this year. I’m guessing that would mean November at the latest.
We know they’ve raised £13m primarily for the commercialisation of the detector in February.
We know they’ve got the manufacturing partner now lined up since then. Starting production of everything from the moulds of the machine to the sourcing of all the parts will no doubt take at least a few months from the financing being ready. I’d think by now they’ve possibly started some kind of production.
We know the final results of Kromek 3weeks ago would have been a good time to release the trial results if they were ready. Could have probably sped up the trial result data a little to fit with this date if it was close I guess.
We know Simon Thompson said expect results in the ‘coming months’ 3weeks ago.
So that gives us a fairly wide window of when to expect the results. I’d guess they should probably be around 1-6weeks away. Definitely no time to be hoping in and out of Kromek stock. I’d expect the share price to remain above 20p in that time.

I understand what you say, ACQ. However the lack of headlining news is a serious concern to me. I have been down in excess of £35 grand at different stages but held tight. I’m still here but cacking my pants when I think that I could get out now without to much of an issue. Do I take a poke in n the eye now and get out, or, take the risk. Only I can say….

Dexter. The business secretary talking it up is natural. If you had a business or a product or whatever that you wanted to sell then you would talk it up. If it was of any significance then others would be talking it up for you. Unfortunately here that’s not happening anywhere other than on this board.

The lack of media coverage doesn't phase me in the slightest. I'm happy for the product, the bio detector to be robustly road tested, then released to market on that basis. Let the science and engineering speak for itself.It's not that they've been totally inactive on that front anyway with the Business Secretary recently commenting and filmed talking it up.

Noticed this article re Europe the market and history of attempted Airborne Patho detection developments so far...It would appear not much progress has been made since...but the requirement is there.

It basically documents the 3 year EU funded consortium (Denmark, SME), ThinXXS Microtechnology AG (Germany, SME), and RIVM, Dutch. -which was a cartridge/lab based product...I assume..as there's not much published since, and no news I've seen on an airborne monitoring program anywhere in Europe..YET..

'PathoDetect .(2008-2011) aims at meeting a major market demand for rapid detection and identification of airborne organisms that are pathogenic or otherwise hazardous to human and animal health (“bio-threats”), which is of increasing importance to various commercial and strategic business sectors.'

'These sectors include military and homeland defense, agricultural and veterinary surveillance/diagnostics, and clinical in vitro diagnostics. The commercial importance of these areas is evidenced by the large sums being spent within EU.'

Re the design-

I’m still in here fannyram. Been here since IPO and as of yesterday I was at breakeven. I’ve been at breakeven on a few occasions but held on because i have strong hope. (Hope more than faith lately)
.2089 is my average and I’m holding. However, the wait is increasingly painful and scary as I’m in heavy. So, shut tfu and go and finger yourself! Hahaha

If every time the media reported some outlandish claim of an AIM company there would be a lot of nonsense in the news. Some of us may think this is another piece of nonsense, while some of us will see our investments surge. We’ll all know in the coming weeks who was right. Based on all the available evidence I’d say I will be right. But nothing is guaranteed here. Even if it doesn’t work we’ll still be left with an okay company

It’s all speculation until it’s accredited by an independent lab. It has had media coverage based on the speculation of the machine. Full media coverage will happen when there is a confirmation of the machine and FACTS to report.

If this detector is as good as we are lead to believe then why has it not had a mention on the headline BBC and ITV news or even, perhaps, a documentary on how brilliant this detector is. Why have we not even had Boris screaming about it and telling the world that there is light at the end of the tunnel?

looking at several of the posts on here it looks like some have sold in to the recent rise and are now trying to talk KMK down. This is a common ploy which I have seen across many stocks over the last few months. I am relatively new to Kromek so not sure how this will play out but generally speaking the method hasn't worked.

Kromek are in a very strong position as their order book is over 75% of brokers forecasts very early in the year so I have a strong view that they will beat brokers forecasts.

As for the chance of the Covid detection machine working I suspect there is a very high probability of success so the gamble of being out surrounds timing of the results.

Given the potential upside which is multiples of the current share price the trade for a few percent at best looks vulnerable to me.

All of the above ignores the ability to gain orders from other areas.

As I have a fairly modest holding in KMK I am relaxed about current direction if it falls happy to add but suspect it won't be down at these levels for very long at all.
