13/5/2021 13:08 | Im still confused about record date, entitlement date etc. Are we all saying, therefore, if this closes tonight at 110p, it will (all things equal) open at about 98p tomorrow (but you have the right to buy more at 85p). That's not how dividends entitlement work, but what do I know... | dasty1
13/5/2021 12:47 | wally-chops must be utterly devastated; he's lost in the region of £200k shorting Kier by my estimate. The rights issue obligations probably haven't hit his account yet, but they will. He went very quiet yesterday when I laid out the implications for him -- I don't think he'd thought it through. As of now we're trading on a forecast p/e of about 3. Now that the final obstacle has been removed for Kier (debt) I reckon the share price will probably treble over the next few weeks. I noticed in the announcements today that Kier has not mentioned the 3-3.5% margin range and settled on 3.5% as a forecast. My guess is that the H2 results out in 6 weeks will confirm that profit is at the upper end of the forecast. | stdyeddy
13/5/2021 12:40 | More likely the brokers spartz. | stdyeddy
13/5/2021 12:38 | one disturbing aspect is the rise before the rns.. Clearly kier is a leaky ship like so many others. Cannot keep important info secret it seems. | sparty1
13/5/2021 12:25 | Well that ratio 7/8 kinda explains the current share price As with IAG I`m going to let it all settle down then make a decision on buying back. At least longtermers have options now. So do shorters.. lol.. | sparty1
13/5/2021 11:52 | My broker just confirmed to me that post 08.00 tomorrow the shares can be sold to the market and retain the option to buy at 0.85 on a 7 for 8 basis. Thank you for all that responded. I hope my post helps | 1224saj
13/5/2021 11:38 | Ex-entitlement is the important date, not record date. The record date is used for mailing to certificate holders. Certificate holders who sell before the ex date need to forward the documents to the buyer (or more usually return to their broker), as will be stated in the documents. | typo56
13/5/2021 11:22 | Surely if the record date is 5pm 12 May, then anyone buying today will not get the rights? Record Date for entitlements under the 5.00 p.m. on 12 May Open Offer 2021 | soulected
13/5/2021 11:15 | People are taking the money while it's there and selling. Market always gives you another chance to get in I guess | mj19
13/5/2021 11:10 | Thank you typo. | johnbuythedips
13/5/2021 11:08 | That's good news ontheforks - glad everyone is upbeat. Things at HS2 are ticking along nicely. | gixxer1
13/5/2021 10:53 | Wally's busy putting out a fire.. | sparty1
13/5/2021 10:51 | Selling your shares today at 110p is equivalent to selling your shares and open offer entitlement (i.e. short) tomorrow at 98.3p. | typo56
13/5/2021 10:47 | Double check 1224. I’m no financial advisor but I think that would be too good to be true. I sold some at 110 and reduced my holding. Booking profit and giving me ammo to buy back if it eases off. Those buying that stock I sold surely get my rights. Ask our resident expert Wally. | johnbuythedips
13/5/2021 10:44 | 1224saj, don't get distracted by record dates. They don't trade ex-entitlement until tomorrow, meaning they're currently trading cum-entitlement, meaning shares bought today qualify for the open offer. If your broker is slack, chase them and get them to make the market claim for you. Shares sold today won't qualify. | typo56
13/5/2021 10:41 | 1224 If you were on the register on that date ...yes. That's why it`s a cut off date. If the date had been end of business today you would see a different shareprice today! | sparty1
13/5/2021 10:40 | There's no DPS. They can't pay a divi while there's a retained loss on the balance sheet. Current prospective EPS forecasts for y/e 2022 and 2023 are around 47p and 51p respectively. Multiply by about 36% to get diluted EPS. 18p EPS for a share trading at 100p (remember it's still trading cum-entitlement today) seems rather cheap for a company that isn't now going bust in the near term. | typo56
13/5/2021 10:36 | Happy holder | hamhamham1
13/5/2021 10:34 | Today's rights issue set at 85p with share price above 100p, currently up almost 7p to 110p, on paper would show a profit but with more shares in circulation the eps/dps falls? How can a company tapping the market be up on a bad day for shares globally? | stutes
13/5/2021 10:32 | Hi gixxer It's business as usual for us mate just waiting for the official name change, flags and sighs are usually the first thing then ppe the only thing I'm interested in is pay review and my kier shares from the buy two get one free lol Everyone I've spoken to on site level are pretty optimistic tbh good luck to yaself and yours 👍🏻 | ontheforks
13/5/2021 10:31 | Jbtd, have I read to notice wrongly. The cut off for the offer was COB on the 12th, 8 existing get access to buy 7 new shares at 85p. Question, if I sell my holdings today, do I still keep the option to buy new shares at the above matrix? Thank you | 1224saj
13/5/2021 10:25 | 110 live... anyone called the fire brigade for wally? Nah ..let him burn. " SP will be 50p in a few weeks." Cannot believe he has posted that today. As for "failing" I think you will find assurances were recieved before the rns ..It will not fail and shareholders will be able to participate. Why not? look at the strike price and look at the current share price Any "dumping" and the shares will be scooped up by insti`s. Very pleased for long termers and a bit gutted I sold early but feel vindicated. Well done chaps. | sparty1
13/5/2021 10:24 | Bit of a read through the detail. Nothing much more to add - all seems straightforward. It is a done deal, it will happen and come 18th June, the new shares will be trading. Nice little earner for the advisers - buried at the end of Appendix II - £12.7m in fees. On top of the £10m for KL sale. £22.7m in fees - no wonder they put some effort into massaging the share price up... So they will in fact be receiving £229m, not £241m. Again, just a little note at the end. Naughty. Tweaked the earlier numbers post to reflect that. But other than that, an unusually candid piece from the management, it seems... | imastu pidgitaswell |
