So if I am reading this correctly - despite the unplanned shutdown of Montara for August we are at the upper end of the guided production range for April to December. That is a great result (not with standing the additional costs due to the Montara issues). In addition with the liftings been this quarter - they should all have been above $80 (excluding the hedged volume).

Let's see if we can lose 6% next week in some MM trickery or if friday meant something.

Interesting friday 1st dec, early december update on akatara? PM323 well4, future drilling?

was expecting today to be another -1-3% day like the usual after a climb. Nice change. Maybe 40p by year end is still possible.

I think PB is doing a promotional visit to the UK sometime now/soon. I think early December was mentioned somewhere.

Encouraging - long overdue move driven by strong volume for a Friday.

Do you think PIs pay much attention to forward demand curves? I read JPM, GS, IAE and the septic reserves figures and do the complete opposite of what they recommend. Served me well until Montara.

I agree the whole sector is effectively on a reduced rating.

I don't necessarily think think this is due to ESG prompted selling but to me the more likely lack of visibility over the forward supply/demand curves which prevents some buying. Owning oil shares we assume demand will be robust but some don't agree.

PE ratios (or whatever their equivalence for loss making companies like JSE are) can't be high when earnings visibility is low.

All I know is if operationally things go well and cash builds again this won't be sat at a £150m.

What you say is correct to a point, but if it were the sole reason I'd put the share price at the placing price or above now. The sp's of small oilers are not currently driven by positive exploration/production news. The effect of the ESG lobby has been devastating for these companies, I'm not sure how or when the investment community can be drawn back in?

Tyrus could buy the BG's lot, put them over 30% and put a mandatory bid in at 50p and see who bites?

BG had circa 42 million shares at the end of Sep. If their intention is to sell the lot, and they sold 2.8m in September, we could be here in a year asking the same question.

It's not just the (smallish) selling, there is no trade in any of the small oilers, the sentiment against shows no sign of abating. Wont be long before anything remotely connected with fossil fuels will cease trading in London altogether. Rest of the world is hell bent on resourcing their own oil and the UK believes it can buck the trend. Insanity.

How many more weeks/months can they keep the selling up at this rate?

I just like to see the price at 45p - the price of the fund raise. Anything more is a bonus. But, patience is required though.

Harbour Energy and Jadestone would be a match made in heaven?

What price?
