The fairly immaterial report has clearly unnerved a few.

expected a bit of a bounce back this morning.

the oil price and the demand for oil does not correlate.

The enterprise agreement that was agreed with the unions for stag, covering the period 2022 to 2025 indicates the following..

14.5 Annual Review

14.5.1 The salary rates set out in this Agreement will be adjusted by the Consumer Price Index – All Group – Weighted annual average of eight capital cities (CPI) as at the most recent quarter. A safety net of 2% and ceiling of 4% will apply to the increase. For the avoidance of doubt if the CPI is less than 2%, the safety net of 2% will apply. If the CPI is greater than 4%, the ceiling 4% will apply. If the CPI is between 2% and 4% the specified CPI will apply

CPI for australia reported as of October 25th advised..

12 Months to the September 2023 quarter - CPI rose by 5.4%

If the ceiling in the agreement is 4% and CPI was up by 5.4% - then they are looking for any angle and I suspect that this move by workers and the OA is driven by pay.

link to cpi data..

We often have smoke alarms go off in offices Often they get switched off when they are going off as false alarms or they are isolated when work is being carried out ????May be they were isolated as they knew they had issues in certain areas that were being visually managed ?

I expect its being used as a bargaining tactic. Looks like a bluff was called.

Looks like there are tensions between workers and management. Who knows what really happened.

Either way if the company felt it in any way material to operations they would have disclosed it via an RNS.

Why were the various detectors switched off?

Is that standard procedure, if yes then no issue.

If no, then WTF and why was it done?

Why would they want to sell the company? This isn't an AIM special where the directors set up with tens of millions of shares each, do a deal with some small instis and sit there doing wildcat drilling on the off chance until the money runs out or they get lucky and make a fortune or fail and dilute the shareholders to hell and then do it all over again. I call that doing a Bramwell. But there are plenty of others.

Would they be able to find a buyer if they wanted to sell the company? This is worth a lot more than 200 million quid

Interesting article, thanks. Yeah I'd guess that and bad oil price day sums up the drop.

"NOPSEMA agreed to an independent investigation around a week ago, the OA said. Initially, the regulator had attempted to allow Jadestone to self investigate. In response to a query from Energy Voice, NOPSEMA said Jadestone had notified it of an incident on October 29. This included an inspection of the facility on November 7-10."

Hard to know the true agenda once work unions are involved, pushing action after NOPSEMA themselves did a facility inspection.. Although if true it's careless, after montara JSE could do with flying low on the NOPSEMA radar for a while.

'The union group has clashed with Jadestone on the Stag platform in the past. It managed to reach a pay deal in December 2022, after various clashes with management.'

- agenda?. lil'pre Christmas boost again?

every week that passes at 20,000bop/d and no problems is a step to share price recovery.

The new 7,000bopd on a 6 month ROI isnt priced in at all. Another program early 2025 could see a 10,000+ bopd asset net to JSE.

45p and 50p before the market on paper seeing the effects of 20,000bop/d to get past Q1 next year. that tied with warrants, probably a sticking point. ironically the share price bounced around these numbers for a long time before.

I think the build up to first half 2024 results with things runningly smoothly and Akatara close to or online is where things could pick up.

In 6 months with no problems or very minor ones, net cash, production at 25,000, a path to 30,000 and a reasonable oil price share price ($75+) could look to getting back to what we all want. 180 days of 20k @ a conservative operating profit before tax of $30 is enough to undo the baggage. A high oil price would speed things up.

IMO DYOR

ignore that post reopening the RNS on a different website loaded it properly. Websites loading half a bulletpoint in an rns is a bit dodgy. guess ill stick to ADVFN for the RNS, the "<" sign in the RNS cut off the rest of the sentence.

how much of the 20,000bop/d is hedged? 50% is tied to the point of agreement?

still hoping for 40p by year end.
