Mr Gideon Ndalama has a very interesting job title. His role not only takes in Kabwe, but he is taking the lead in tailing dump remediation throughout Zambia.

The first major tailing dam to be renovatated is Mufulira at Kitwe. BIG CLUE IMO.

Perhaps someone confused shares and pounds, cos what we've seen so far today is nothing to get excited about.

They don't run on water mate, in fact quite the opposite, they produce water as an emission

Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles sound great idea but a couple of good days in summer with the usual water shortage what then?

Strange to hear Colin say that Sable will be producing in October when Leon has recently said he is targeting August. Colin is usually the one guilty of optimistic forecasting.

I think I’ll continue to go by my original estimate of November, with first meaningful sales in Q1 2020, but I’ll be very pleased if they start production earlier.

I've heard similar things before. It's politically inconvenient to look at the through life environmental cost of EVs. Far better to concentrate on kerb side emission as that is simple... and our politicians need things to be really simple.

"For true emission reductions, researchers concluded the study by saying methane-powered gasoline engines or hydrogen motors could cut CO2 emissions by a third and possibly eliminate the need for diesel motors."

I feel a bit foolish for saying Kabwe isn’t the main attraction for JLP. I have been doing some extensive research on Kabwe over Easter and I must say Leon is right, this project truly dwarfs all other projects we have. I might be an old fool but I’m sure this investment will turn out to be a good one eventually.

EV's are currently lithium, no pgm's at all.Hybrids reduce the loading of pgms used in the ICE part of train.Doesn't sound great but when you look at the range of EV's you begin to realise their market share is finite.

Both China and Japan are putting in large investment and infrastructure to support Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

We may see the future of cars being mainly electric however I feel longer range vehicles and most commercial vehicles (trucks, busses, trains etc) will ultimately end up being Hydrogen fuel cell powered?

Deme, I understand a Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle users 10x more Platinum than it’s internal combustion engined equivalent.

I have no idea how much if any Platinum an EV uses.

Thay ceres article looked like a pump advert to me.Lithium EV's don't have the range or charge time to be anything other than city centre cars.Hybrid cars don't have a strong enough train to be used in commercial vehicles and industrial generators.Fuel cells solve the above issues. Hybrid and lithium ev's will take market share but at the same time the loading for combustible engines is and will continue to increase.Eventually i see fuel cell vehicles out selling ICE, EV's and hybrids.

As part of the London Hydrogen Network Expansion project, we have leased a Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell for use in London over the next four years. This hydrogen fuelled, zero emissions car is part of a campaign to support the early adoption and commercial success of hydrogen powered Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) in the UK. While the development of the vehicles is progressed by the car manufacturers, our demonstration of the vehicle's capabilities aims to support the consumer and technology acceptance.
