Looks like i need a do a bit of reading into GLR
That is the first i have heard that there is an agreement between JLP and GLR to process material from star. Yes i heard that it was a possibility but not an actual agreement, that is good news and should have been rns'd imo.

I don't think the agreement is new it seems to have been long standing and possibly a condition (agreed with JLP) of GLR's buyout from BMR?

So maybe not a JV but even an offtake arrangement should be rns'd before it is mentioned at investor shows.

This is why I am glad Colin has stepped back from JLP.

I liked the bit when he said another company has shown an interest in the zinc but it is to late now. Yeah right, why would he partner with another company when he can feed JLP the business!

"soft rumour that Leon is leaving Jubilee in a few months." Yeah that's right, he'd do a decade of heavy lifting to get Jubilee off the ground and then leave just before he extracts value from his 23m share options. If he was going to leave, he'd have left a long time ago. The logical exit for him would be to sell Jubilee to a miner looking to diversify into waste management at some point in the future, make millions from his share options, and then continue to run Jubilee within the bigger company on a huge package.

I watched Colins presentation just now and it was horrendous

If he did presentations for Jubilee the share price would take more dives than an overpaid footballer LOLsss

soft rumour that Leon is leaving Jubilee in a few months. Who's the new CEO?

It makes sense because he has no skin in Jubilee

So Colin is telling his GLR investors that he expects material to be ready for JLP/Kabwe by November.

why have we not had an rns on said JV yet he is telling investors that it is basically happening!

Sleeven.

Agreed raising £0.5 mill is not going to go that far. Might be good for one drilling campaign and admin expenses up until November, after which there will be another placing imo.

I don't think they'll be shareholder support for a takeover either.

Wait until Vikrant gets a seat on the board, that'll be a sign of either M&A to come, or a desire to step up into the FTSE 350

Colin at his pumping best, don't forget this presentation was about 2 weeks before the GLR placing, knocking about 15% from the GLR share price

GLR will need another placing in 4-6 months.

There won't be a takeover. Leon moved from Anglo to JLP to be CEO and grow the company. He's hardly going to put all the pieces in place to reach an "inflection point" as he put it and then hand it over to somebody for a modest premium to a battered share price. There also won't be dividends for many years. They will always need a pipeline to grow and any surplus cash from Kabwe will be used to finance it. Instead of paying 15% a year to a lender to finance plant, they will build plant for mining companies and charge them 15% to fund it along with a cut of the profits from the processing. They won't do buybacks either. That AGM resolution for buybacks was just a precaution in case BMR had to sell at any price to avoid insolvency.

The key question for me in Wednesday's quarterlies is can they eliminate the recent DCM losses with the fine chrome ramp up because if they can, Q1 earnings are going over £3m. Then if we multiply March's Hernic, Platcro chrome, and DCM earnings by 3, what does that give us at Q2? If they've smashed it in March, we could be looking at £3.5m-£4m for Q2 without any contribution from Platcro PGMs. That's annualised profit of £8m-£10m.

I'm going to be optimistic and say March has been the best month in the company's history, Q1 earnings will come in at £3.4m, rolling March into Q2 will give us £4m of earnings without Platcro PGMs, and we'll never trade in the 2p range again.

Thought GLR had a deal with eml or whatever the hell it's called. So as we own most of that... we have the contract. Just what I thought...could well be wrong.

Nothing has been officially released or documented about an off take agreement but it has been common knowledge for a while that Star zinc will provide Kabwe with Ore feed.

Sister company, not yet but that maybe a slip of the tongue. GLR is dead in the water without JLP a little like what BMR was, so very possible that something similar is in the offing.

GLR's MCAP is negligible compared to JLP's earnings, so we could easily take them out at a 50% premium, without even batting an eye lid. Given that Colin has quite a substantial holding IN GLR courtesy of placings, I should imagine he'll see such a deal a as a little brucie bonus for further developing the JLP pipeline

Interesting despite the vocals, expects Star to be supplying JLP in Nov/Dec with Kabwe up and running in October.
