Why would the real effect of load shedding in January and February be different to what they reported?

I am also in the sub £3M camp, but would like to be pleasantly surprised. Talking of results, sleveen, I picked up another 750,000 shares in AAU ahead of the results this morning (I understand you are a shareholder, too).

“Total Q1 Earnings £3,890,000R20; I hope you’re right Bullster but I don’t see Hernic making anything like £1m in March when it made £1.1m in January and February. Also, over the quarter, I’d expect DCM to lose money because fine chrome has only been producing at a commercial level from March. I’ll go for £3.4m. Still a huge increase on Q4 18. JLP’s quarterlies always slightly disappoint against projections because there is always something we haven’t factored in like load shedding but they keep rising strongly. I think that trend will continue into Q2 and Q3 and through to Kabwe production. Ramp up and annualisation will keep the share price edging up for the next 3-4 quarters. The question is whether they can ramp up the SA assets, build Kabwe AND deliver non-dilutive or lightly dilutive deals like PlatCro chrome.

Nicely consolidated at 3.1p.

Quarterlies today or tomorrow could see a very pleasant rise this week.

Anglo American Platinum CEO Chris Griffith revealed, in a convincing keynote address, that “very real and credible progress is being made in the development of the hydrogen economy”, Oeyen was unequivocal about hydrogen being the sole route to 100% carbon-free driving.

He elaborated on using wind and sun to liberate hydrogen from water, and platinum then catalysing the hydrogen into electricity in fuel cells capable of powering cars, trucks, buses, trams, trains and ships cleanly, in a world that is legislating to end harmful vehicle emissions.

“From start to finish, not a single gram of carbon dioxide is emitted,” Oeyen highlighted.

The weekly is the one to watch. It's encouraging it broke through the 200dma intraweek but closed pretty much bang on.

All technical have been flashing overbought for the last week here too. Interesting point to take though, it's bounced off 3.10 around half a dozen times

I actually think we're seeing some traders responding to the metal price fluctuations.
I suspect tomorrow could be the 'crunch' day - if the dollar buckles some larger shorts maybe be in a spot of bother. Metal prices could become a bit more volatile.

gold attacked earlier which you can clearly see on the lesser charts and the volume of contracts dumped to attempt to break that lower support level. Some quite sizeable short positions are trying to unwind fairly soon imo. If that trendline is broken there'll be quite a few stops triggered just below.

The problem they're having is the US$ weakness. Gonna get interesting over the next day or two.
