13/1/2024 13:46 | This ITV 2020 thread welcomes comments about ITV and any subject that has an effect on the company. Just hope ITV has a better 2024, the company has had a good start to 2024 with 'Mr Bates v Post Office' and good ITVx numbers, long may it continue. All ITV needs now is for people to wake up on the hidden value here. When many use comparisons of ITV and ITVx with Netflix, Prime, Disney, Para and other broadcast and streamers, they should stop and look carefully at ITV's Mkt Cap of a derisory £2.43 billion against the hundreds of billions in Mkt Cap put on the big boys, it has become absurd. Most on here see the value and when the penny drops in the city a long due re-rating should happen. | ![]() slater5

13/1/2024 12:30 | Its good to see new posters who only discovered Advfn in Dec 2023. They bring a fresh view on ITV and add a lot to this board. | ![]() stansmith1

13/1/2024 10:41 | Still more to drop here, 55p is a good round figure to get in at. All in MHO. You can quote tipsters and analysts galore, it is what the punter is willing to pay. Huckers , if you are happy to pay more, that's ok, we all have a price in mind. | ![]() hedgefundkick
13/1/2024 06:59 | I honestly just think as the economy sorts its self out then we should see a good rebound. I think the big American streaming platforms make good content but I couldn't sit and watch Netflix content for example all night. The disadvantage these global players will face is continuously making enough good varied content to keep up with demand to suit the entire worlds needs instead of ITV who are primarily just trying to make content to suit the uk. I think it's big ask. The uk will always have a soft spot for uk tv and family friendly weekend shows etc. | ![]() fwatson
13/1/2024 06:24 | Few, I think bullish as well. Weirdly I think the target audience demographics are playing a more and more significant part now. Youngsters stream, and they seem hungry for the US shows. This hasn’t been missed by the advertisers. They make their money by hitting the target audiences, and getting ahead of busy periods, Xmas and Easter for example. ITV is sound, it makes good programmes (Mr Bates), but they are up against big rivals who are also making great material too. I think this will bob around these lows until there is sector consolidation or M&A activity. DYOR, folks. Holding frozen shares when there’s are moving needs thought. | ![]() rongetsrich
12/1/2024 22:26 | Just watched Mr bates vs the Post office . Well that was quality broadcasting. Itv really did a good job . | jonnyupite1
12/1/2024 22:13 | I'm bullish over the long term. I think uk broadcasters like ITV and channel 4 will always be desired in this country and don't see them as being in the same category as Netflix/Apple tv/Disney plus. | ![]() fwatson
12/1/2024 22:09 | In my opinion ITV should purchase STV and complete the ITV network. We need strong UK media's to keep them independent and away from foreign/US predators. ITV should be strong, UK owned, and highly valued by viewers and those 'city institutions' that allocate out pension funds. | ![]() bedford1976
12/1/2024 21:22 | So, are there any bullish investors here, or do we see bear pressures continuing into the spring? There’s a gap or 2 to fill and the high probability of a 55p retrace, then it should settle. The problem is, as I see it, high wage inflation, lower advert revenues and stiff competition for those adverts. Is the company ripe for M&A action? | ![]() rongetsrich
12/1/2024 20:41 | Folks, apologies for his disruption. Not needed. | ![]() rongetsrich
