02/9/2021 18:20 | Yep wine open here too but mine not back until next week. Sure BT will come back but would rather buy again at next pit stop lower!. I mistakenly thought I had more time to get out of BT before the plates moved. Previous trading range 179-164p now164-150p? Managed to sell half my position164.5-163.5p but meant to do it yesterday above 170p but got distracted. More hopeful regarding ITV short term. Don’t usually trade these shares but can’t hold anything in the FTSE(UK) with a long term view anymore - Events of 2016 changed that but I won’t go there. Foreigners still think the UK markets are toxic although they seem happy to buy a few bargains and then dispose(break them up) making few bucks along the way! A lot of ITVs production businesses are already based in the USA. | hades1
02/9/2021 18:11 | yeah brutal and the wine has been opened on a school night, but the reason i bought -days like this should come and go without losing sleep over a structural or competitor issuebt though is really pretty sick right now, it had three attempts at 164 and each were thwarted by endless selling, will need to wait a few weeks to find out the real reasonFtse is just a shambles these days, if bt cant make it over the next three years we can just leave the uk to mobile betting shops and delivery outfits | stansmith3
02/9/2021 17:58 | Thanks It's been an unusual day as it looks like the BT share price is now in considerably more trouble than ITV!I sadly hold both but now less BT than this morning!ITV seems to still have Blackrock buying around 115p?Let's hope they continue. | hades1
02/9/2021 17:34 | agree with hades and as be didnt stick in a cheeky last word i wont either | stansmith3
02/9/2021 17:22 | Perhaps let's move on?PM does not materially impact ITVs performance or share price. It's over at last. | hades1
02/9/2021 16:23 | So they should, supporting PH and co rubbishing the royal family at such a difficult time, the queen and family are grieving the loss of Prince Philip, so much for being a caring pair. | srpactive
02/9/2021 16:12 | "The ruling leaves Dame Carolyn with an awkward dilemma. Does she eat humble pie and give Morgan his job back? He says he will only return if ITV apologises to him. It should probably do so, as the best way to draw a line under the affair. But a price must be paid by the person most responsible for turning a robust exchange on breakfast television into a fiasco for ITV. Piers Morgan says he was “specifically hired by ITV to present Good Morning Britain and express strongly held opinions”. He adds: “I was pretty disheartened to discover that I suddenly wasn’t entitled to.” The CEO made a judgment call. It turns out to have been the wrong one. Dame Carolyn McCall should do the honourable thing. She should fall on her sword." Looks like the media are trying to force our leader out. | nige co
02/9/2021 14:27 | PH seems to be getting desperate and more over the top every time he is on the tv. I feel he is surplus to the US left requirements. | srpactive
02/9/2021 13:10 | stag. I think 90% of this thread would agree with you on the pathetic WOKE nonsense that dominates the Media in 2021. There has never been a better opportunity than now, for McCall and the ITV BoD to show the majority rules and stop the nonsense by inviting Morgan to return to GMB. Maybe they should ask themselves why Prince Harry and Princess Pinnochio have fast become pariah's in the UK and are not doing too well in the US. MM has had a knockback from Disney, they are toast, over 40 in Hollywood is way past the sell by date. | slater5
02/9/2021 09:04 | hadesno, its simple freedom of speech, he is entitled to his view | stansmith3
02/9/2021 08:00 | I agree with your last paragraph, MM is aiming to be far more powerful than that, with the help of OW, PH and the US left. | srpactive
02/9/2021 07:43 | I have trouble squaring MMs views with what I understand to be the facts and PM called her out as a "proven liar" What is odd to me is that most of the great and good PM has on his shows fall into the same category and I haven't seen him rant similarly about them. Boris "How can someone be expected to live on less than £300k/year?" Johnson is a case in point. Despite the letters with him pleading with the editor of the Telegraph for more money due to financial hardship being in the public domain I have never heard one of our challenging journos ask him why he needs £300k but the rest of us seem to live on considerably less. PM is a very intelligent man. If he had been in control he could have said far worse without triggering this furore. He lost control.not very professional. I might think BoJo is a lying front bottom but that doesn't mean that my right of free speech has been curtailed if I stop him in the street and shout it at him and get arrested/fired or whatever as a result. truth be told, I don't care about the Duke and Duchess of wherever it is - they rank with Rylan Clark and the herds of "Reality TV" participants who add nothing to my life. If they didn't exist, would I notice ? | marksp2011
02/9/2021 07:18 | h Got away with it, what he said has been proven to be correct as the interview said things that was not found to be correct apparently. Some people like the limelight others do not, some say they do not want the limelight whilst bathing in it. The itv board are going along the US left side as they know a US media will eventually buy itv, possibly Oprah and co. Some would not attend a royal wedding if they did not agree with what it apparently stood for, some would. All views and sides welcome for a balanced thread. New ceo needed, PM back, itv share price moving higher later this month. dyor | srpactive
01/9/2021 23:52 | On GMB his views were luckily adequately challenged by other ITV presenters, so he got away with it on that occasion - As Ofcom reported. But no Broadcaster will ever risk that again. She was right to ask for an apology and he should have given one. That could have saved his live tv career. Simple Right & Wrong. | hades1
01/9/2021 23:40 | i dont like him as he will take a side of an argument for the sake of being controversial, but he is entitled to his view (disingenuous or otherwise) as ofcom pointed out | stansmith3
01/9/2021 23:35 | But I do feel a bit sorry for PM.He destroyed his future in live TV that day and that was what he loved. | hades1
01/9/2021 23:18 | including you it would appear as for getting real, thats what i would say to anyone who thinks he resigned anyone who doesnt zip up the back knows why he resigned (in quotes) | stansmith3
01/9/2021 23:09 | She has not been discredited. You just read misinformation in certain right wing newspapers. The majority of the UK is now woke. Get real. | hades1
01/9/2021 23:01 | mccall overreacted to the woke mob, but we only really know that now as markle has been discreditedat the time it seemed the right thing to do | stansmith3 |
