The real action will be later this afternoon, especially the U/T and the after hours trades as I mentioned on Monday. In the meantime here's something else that won't be appearing in the Telegraph any time soon :- hxxps://www.thedrum.com/news/2021/08/26/which-sponsors-won-love-island

It's not looking good looking at the chart either. Short term 110p, we may even see 100p if 110p doesn't hold. IMO.

Nice to see ITV bucking the trend today, we don't see that very often. FTSE100 down 0.42% ITV up 1.85%.

My comments regarding Goldman were tongue in cheek. They were and continue to be an incredibly successful IB , but one that has always been better informed than any other. For example there are more Goldman alumni in powerful positions often politically than anyone else. Does that break the rules as they seem better informed? Not for me to comment. In relation to behaviour by brokers , they are heavily regulated and compliance is ridiculous, so behaviour post the banking crisis is very different now to how it was a dozen years ago.

Let’s just say Goldman was always the last to lose money & the first (& often best) at making money.

Gaming happens far far far less due to heavy compliance at banks , brokers and asset managers. HSBC has something ridiculous like 10,000 compliance officers globally , it’s totally nuts. If you manipulate anything at one of these institutions (these days) , it’s your last day. Shenanigans far more like amongst retail customers , like the Reddit crowd for example.

More nonsense from our resident riddler.The market is gamed constantly. If you dont know that by now...Today's wild speculation is that because a French billionaire secretly built stake in BT, the only indication being the share price rose day after day in all kinds of down market days somehow proves the same kind of thing is going on with ITVCould someone tell the share price please.

Matthew, I've just been handed the 2021 syllabus for all the new Graduate trainees starting in the investment banking division at GS ;- RULE 1. There are no rules.

Ivan , your point re lack of filings for the BT stake is valid , but all too common , particularly when it comes to stake building. Most likely imho is that the position was executed via derivatives, where filing rules are ‘greyer.’;

Blackrock won’t care re FTSE 100 or 250. They are buying as they see deep value most likely.

Since I assume Blackrock took this down to build a position will they now let to rise up to 31st to retain their FTSE100 position?
