stewthere hasnt been anywhen itv was re-admitted the volume volatility carried on for about three weeks (like the previous occasion) , ivan was unaware this was reshuffling related and was in full nudge nudge wink wink mode with regards his grand (and gets grander by the day) takeover conspiracynow he is trying to get in front of it this time (for some reason) by reminding people of what he had to be reminded of....

As far as I have seen there has been no large volumes in the trades of ITV shares. When was this.

nigeIvan was the person attributing the large trading volumes to everything but ftse reshuffling and trolling me for thinking they were meaninglessAnd all the usa volume, silly me againIt was me who drew attention to the large volume days from the past and how long they persisted after an index change, you may recall Ivan was already attributing those to his grand conspiracyLets face it Ivan is basically talking out of his back end with regards trading in ITVAnd everyone should know by now a bouncing index share like ITV will have share price and volume volatility

Nige. Look at the volumes, the small float out there is being traded daily creating the illusion we have a liquid market in ITV, they( it may be GS & friends) are manipulating the float. IMO getting promoted last time was bad for business and foiled a few plans.

I think ITV will be relegated and funds holding ITV on FTSE 100 protocols will sell their holdings adding to millions of shares on to the market. Never believe that many of the people running these funds are blessed with Warren Buffett's abilities, most of them are frankly no smarter than the average investor.

I hope it's relegated, mix things up a bit.

Taking a look at ITV's closest FTSE100 company on valuation is Royal Mail Group. ITV needs to climb above one more FTSE100 company to survive being relegated to the FTSE250. The closest on valuation is RMG who's current valuation stands at £4.90B, while ITV valuation stands at £4.73B.


FTSE100 reshuffle closing date is Tuesday 31st Aug. We would need ITV to have a positive day with RMG having a bad day. For ITV valuation to reach £4.9B ITV share price would have to close at 121.74p. Unlikely to happen in my opinion. So we may well see big trades on Tuesday with institutions dumping ITV shares especially after the close. So Ivan may well be proved correct regarding the large trades that he predicted.

ITV ADR's opened up 3.82%. Let's see if it helps the LSE price? Unlikely.

ADR price $16.86 +$0.62 = 122.50p

ITV share price currently down 2.50p, over the week ITV were up 3.20p before today. I think that someone wants ITV in the FTSE250.

It's not looking good looking at the chart either. Short term 110p, we may even see 100p if 110p doesn't hold. IMO.
