20/8/2021 22:47 | These are the very companies driving ITVs advertising revenue growth.Television advertising on ITV works. The biggest advertisers are the new digital economy companies.Google , Apple, Deliveroo Etc etcThey advertise because it works. | hades1
20/8/2021 22:22 | interesting, food for thoughtsign of the times when bookies and food delivery companies are way further up the ftse than itv | stansmith3
20/8/2021 21:48 | It should stay in Government hands. The only realistic privatisation solution within the current CH4 remit is a trade sale to ITV. Sadly Liberty Global / Virgin Media have been actively lobbying Government Ministers concerning the privatisation of CH4 knowing the only route to privatisation is via ITV. Join the dots or not but I would much rather ITV was bought separately and CH4 remained in Government hands. The reasons are too lengthy and involved to articulate here. | hades1
20/8/2021 21:31 | hadeslots of companies and individuals would be interested in itv if the price is rightwe all want the same thing but my main issue is that you know who just ladled everything on top of everything else to the point that basic logic showed they cant all be true, so you can deduce lead conspiracy proponent was talking garbagei can see now why alex1621 had issues with said poster last year with him referencing his own posts on lse....what is your preference for the c4 situation? | stansmith3
20/8/2021 21:20 | I also don't necessarily agree with the conspiracy theories articulated on this BB but I also do have first hand experience of several FTSE bids across my career - So I have my eyes open at all times.Let's see what transpires next month but if the Government decides in favour of the selling of CH4 it is going to complicate things quite considerably. | hades1
20/8/2021 20:40 | Scottish TV still rising: | netcurtains
20/8/2021 17:48 | if anyone interested...uk govt offering one year extensions to track and trace workers | stansmith3
20/8/2021 17:45 | hadesbut the conspiracy theories put forward - which as we know i dont subscribe to - all have a happy ending? so why are you and nige bothered?i cant defend your investment any further, i dont know if itv will fall further, but i doubt usa fiscal policy will stay this loose for much longer so headwinds are comingi believe in the uk to a point and think itv could be 25% higher in a year, so not worried by the day to day stuff as painful as it ishave a good weekend | stansmith3
20/8/2021 17:31 | Understood but with most shares I own there is an obvious reason for the pull back but not here.ITV has the best COVID-19 turnaround story of my portfolio - will exceed 2019 numbers by end 2021!I fully understand why investors are looking at conspiracy theories to explain the unexplained. | hades1
20/8/2021 17:12 | hadesthanksi agree it proves there is no real connection of itv ps price surge into the 130s and subsequent fall back with betting shops, oil companies at the mercy of opec and house builders etc etc etcfunnily enough a lot of companies have had similar pull backsits only relevant if you believe itv is a declining business, which no one does on this board, apart from cautiousevery chance itv will be higher by xmas and higher again by mid 2022, anyone who doesnt believe that may as well sell up | stansmith3
20/8/2021 17:01 | I believe we escaped relegation from FTSE100 but I am not a reshuffle expert - Certainly escaped automatic relegation. | hades1
20/8/2021 16:56 | ITV year high is 134.14p (14Jun21) so we -14.2%FTSE100 year high 7224.46 (13Aug21) so it is down -1.9%Source : CNBC website | hades1
20/8/2021 16:05 | Not that I think it should be the case but a surprising number of ftse shares I follow are all very very close to their price in April 2020, including ITV.They must be hated too. | stansmith3
20/8/2021 16:00 | "Talk about unloved" I think hated would be closer. | nige co
20/8/2021 15:56 | There has to be some bad news somewhere. Everything up and ITV down. Even my FTSE100 ex-dividend stocks are up. Clearly something is wrong somewhere. | netcurtains
20/8/2021 15:50 | I think Weir will be out automatically but ITV needs to be below 110 - not an expert on reshuffles. | hades1
20/8/2021 15:44 | This site is dated 6th Aug. | nige co
20/8/2021 15:42 | Taking in to account yesterdays large drop I think it could be a close call. | nige co
20/8/2021 15:29 | Is ITV outside the top 110? Looks like only automatic out is Weir Group but ITV is withering again. Performing like an airline again! | hades1
20/8/2021 15:26 | I hope that your right Hades. I think that today is the FTSE100 reshuffle? | nige co
20/8/2021 14:57 | Talk about unloved FTSE up 21pts ITV down 1.4pts! | hades1
20/8/2021 10:33 | Options expiration week - a good time to spook the markets. | hades1
20/8/2021 10:03 | L2/3 flipped + twice today.1070:985k Two more times than yesterday! | hades1
20/8/2021 09:55 | Nige I am hopeful this is just a chance created by Blackrock to increase it's position. Possibly taking advantage of a fragile market? When you have an existing large position it's more than possible to create a low volume fall in August. As good a theory as any! Ever hopeful. | hades1 |
