Bookies now make Piers Morgan 5/4 on to return to GMB before the end of the year !

In my view she had no choice. He crossed the line on a live news show - He certainly demonstrated extremely poor judgement. What next? He was a unnecessary risk in that environment and so sadly had to go - Although I understand he resigned and in fact she did not fire him.

I was an Easyjet shareholder so I was glad when they chose McCall, she did wonders for Easyjet so while I agree that letting Piers go was a terrible move, is it time to let her go, whatever she is doing at ITV, most of it is working according to insiders. My theory would be to eat humble pie and bring Morgan back as soon as possible, us long term shareholder do not need a change in management now.

Piers is still contracted to ITV for many future scripted programmes. Quite rightly he will never be trusted for non-scripted shows. No one will risk it ever again especially with non scripted news reporting. I am pleased that Ofcom found in favour of ITV - It could have been financially expensive for ITV otherwise.

Well, one thing is definitely certain and that is the stock of Piers Morgan will go through the roof after today and if ITV don't do something quick, you can guarantee that PM will be able to name his price anywhere else ! Simon Cowell still wants him for his new talent show judge as well as replacing David Walliams on BGT. Peter Bazalgette steps down next year maybe Dame Carolyn should follow him out the door !

unhinged makes a good pointshe could say she was fooled by markle who people think much less of since thereby exonerating herself whilst bringing back pierseveryone happy, apart from the woke mob who can go f@@k themselves anyway

s5 He says what he feels is obvious whether readers or agree is their choice. Plenty could replace McCall, out, PM back. Maybe get the interview dissected for truths and then treat the producers like itv have done to PM.

I agree, if it was down solely to McCall, it is bad but she won't go because reports say she is doing a good job at the helm. We will see in the coming months, I hope they are right. Piers Morgan should return to GMB, insiders say he turned down GB News with his own show, which makes me think they have left the door open for a return should the OFCOM verdict be favorable. Considering it has been proved that Megan and Harry said many conflicting things in the interview and Winfrey is doing her best to keep her distance, Morgan was 100% correct in his doubts. PM is marmite, but is a ratings magnet, bring him back, he is worth 5p on the share price

It's just a shame she didn't tough it out and support her colleague though isn't it Personally I'd like her to publicly apologise and confess to making a hasty and ill thought out decision when faced with undue pressure from Megan MarkleArhat would help destroy a Markle's reputation which would be to the benefit of us all

Exactly !!This is supposed to be an independent broadcaster FFS not Megan Markle's mouthpiece And Morgan, like him or not, is one of the best broadcasters of a generation and was hired for his opinions regardless of the controversy they caused

unhingedi agree, but she can either go or tough it out - if she toughs it out she either brings him back or she doesntseems unlikely she will just fall on the sword she cut him so quickly with, so given its likely she will tough it out, one question is what is the best way for her to keep her job bringing him back or digging her heels in....

Afternoon all, I will be increasing later this month once the ftse100 reshuffle is apparent. After the PMorgan news today I feel the ceo must go, siding with the US left is not impartial enough for me. dyor active

Admitting a mistake is an understatementShe took a call from Megan Markle, a powerful women demanding Morgan's resignation and acted upon that with hasteThat's the reality. It wasn't remotely in shareholders or viewers interests - ONLY Megan Markle's interests and she needs to answer for that

Lets see what the Telegraph and the Times say if anything at all that is !! Both papers said the share price collapsed and £400m was wiped off the value of ITV the week Piers walked off set ! Odds on he will return !

Can't invest in this company anymore which puts Megan Markle's interests ahead of those of shareholdersSo glad to see Piers Morgan vindicated by Ofcom this morning and in view of their comments I think it's high time this useless CEO do us all a favour and go

Marks, good on you mate. I asked the ITV CEO & CFO at the results if they would consider splitting the company in to two to possibly release shareholder value. They said that they are always looking at such things but believe that ITV is stronger as one. So management disagree, for now at least.

I sympathise with those who have these at 170p or even more. They haven't moved much this last month, it is like there is a ceiling at 118p.

Stan, I won't be selling my ITV holding, I could be jumping out of the frying pan in to the fire. Going back 4 years at the time of my ITV purchase, I was also following 5 or 6 other companies. All are well down over the 4 year period. So it wouldn't have mattered which company I had purchased out of the 6, they are all well down. Little consolation I know.

nigewhat you did 4 years ago or at the start of the pandemic is missing the point, its what you do going forward that countsyou are very much in the minority thinking itv has a real prospect of being taken over, so you are currently investing against the market...but good luck
