No Jimbull , working orders and 90% of hedge fund trades are booked after the close, it’s standard business.

Opens at 82.70p tomorrow and the next day and on and on, tiny volumes and manipulated to hell and back.

It's ready to go and when this goes, it will fly like a kite on a windy day!!

ROFLMAO

Trading at over 84p, then a 4.4 million trade at 83.30p is thrown in at close flooring the share price daily gain and back under control of the market makers

It's well known that Journo's like cops and sports gamblers have their insider sources, that is nothing new.

Board members of ITV would not know of any actions from afar, geez they are so woke they probably think it would be bad manners not to be informed as a matter of being nice to each other.

I thought everybody was aware of that.

There is a lot of nonsense floating around this thread.

You guys need a reality check.

This can't possibly be true as for it to have reached a journalist would mean a huge number of people would know about it - and it would be uncontainable.

It would start with the board members of the bidder and the board members of ITV, it would quickly pull in legal consultants, advisers, solicitors, their admin staff, secretaries, assistants, yeah all under NDA agreements. Then one of them would leak it either directly to a friend / family member or directly to someone else in the industry or media.

It doesn't just go from board member straight to journalist right! There are so many other people in between - at this point the ITV share price would be compromised, the FCA would be investigating etc etc.

"well known financial journo who got wind"

He probably just had too many potatoes at the Ritz on a client jolly, that's why he has wind.

So if there is a deal there done and dusted surely you'd want to keep the secrets to yourself and for the share price to fall so that you could fill your own boots at a lower price.

tlob2...It would be great if everyone on this thread took heed of my buy, buy, buy and were able to move the needle, but alas small shareholders are a tiny percentage of ITV shareholders. Same goes for sell, sell, sell, sell making a jot of difference.

There is a well known financial journo who got wind of the very pulling of the bid, he was stopped from even mentioning it in a publication due to the enormity of the behemoth and fear of litigation.

Stay long and keep buying although you may have trouble getting any large order filled!!

goldfinger, if your announcement/leaks contained information that would be beneficial to all who are long. The only consistent point you make is that everybody should buy buy buy.

So if there is a deal there done and dusted surely you'd want to keep the secrets to yourself and for the share price to fall so that you could fill your own boots at a lower price.

And you wonder why there are some longs on here who don't buy your leak theories ;-)

Well done, you are a modern day Robin Hood stealing from the rich and sharing with the poor. LOL ;-)

I’m still sticking with this prediction for the 25th!!!

Having read the whole article above I’m going to stick my neck out and say a dividend INCREASE is highly likely in the July interim statement.

Current baseline expectation is still the 1.7p element of the annual 5p total - so I’m going to suggest an increase to 2p interim and later in the financial year a 3.5p final total 5.5p ( yes this equates to a 10% increase in div payout ).

You heard it here first! Bookmark this!

Stan
Its like a parallel universe on the other thread. I'm expecting next weeks update to be very good and the share price to be in the 90's. But the way they slag each other off, you would think the share price was still stuck below 60p.

Goldfinger , thank you for the update. Why? Well , because that’s entirely plausible and very possible. It is however not price sensitive , but as you say , we live in hope for the 25th.

Johnnybig bluelynn and other genuine longs. A little snippet from my imaginary journo friend who btw has close contact with ITV.

The buyback taking place atm was a bone of contention with the board split between a special dividend and a buyback. Obviously the buyback won out.

Shows the board isn't in harmony, can't wait for the 25th, can we expect a rosy statement..

Stay long!!
