The stock is better as the US had a decent move after the London close , and Apple’s results. Local election results do not move markets or shares , neither do AGMs. The most likely helpful explanation was the large print yesterday was a seller completing and also the director buying. Imho.
Can’t comment on GF post as he’s blocked me. I guess he doesn’t like me picking holes in what he claims (as I have done for 2 years).

No need to correct anything.

I don't worry too much what the markets want. I want what's best for the country and me.

As for the markets they will go up and fall back down as they have done for years.

The Paramount drama continues.
It’s great when multiple interested parties come forward!

Morgan Stanley should start upping the ante and buy back many more shares. That will really get the share price motoring!

Two 1m volume off-book trades went through at 70.7p that seem to have led to price spiking up quickly after. Will it settle back..?

"Directors have intimate knowledge of their companies trading" I think you are being a bit generous regarding directors ability, whilst some are mustard, most are useless and are there on the gravy train until they are forced to retire.

Net I agree with you that directors know little more than the man in the street about the markets and market timing , but as Geck says too , they have intimate knowledge of a companies trading performance, which gives them an edge.
When you did your study , did you strip out director share scheme buying? A common practice where one can buy their companies scheme in a tax efficient manner (like out of gross income). Clearly not directional bets , but common place. Also same question re options schemes? Often sold for tax prurposes etc , again not directional. Finally , I remember being told one should strip out life events like divorce… makes a director a forced seller , and again shouldn’t be included as a directional bet (for director buying and selling). Like all data , it can be manipulated to paint whatever picture one wants.

Directors of companies have small windows within with to do their trades so, whilst not 100% accurate in their predictions, given they are intimately familiar with the company's operations as you say matthew, it is often a good signal yes.

matt: That is on one side. The other side is directors are notoriously bad at knowing what the market thinks..... So often the price goes directly the reverse.... Eg they could think "oh dear just look at Israel.." then the next minute peace breaks out....
