Busy month for ITV investors coming up...

Thursday 2nd May - AGM
Thursday 9th May - Q1 2024 Trading Update
Thursday 23rd May - 3.3p Dividend Paid

Personally hoping for a good entry price end May to continue my dividend re-investment approach, but potential for the Trading Update to move things up another notch if Q1 2024 has turned the much suggested 'early signs of recovery' into increased revenue...

After the latest Lygo gaff (about nothing really important) it makes you wonder if it's a deliberate plan by the ITV board to keep the share price as low as they can !!!

Thanks for sharing your views and opinions following my post 7253 on Wednesday.

I had wondered why Lygo was being interviewed by the BBC...... now I know. He wasn't.

I believe the BBC article arose from the "Voice of the Listener and Viewer [no, I'd never heard of them either] Spring Conference" held earlier that day in London. Kevin Lygo is listed as appearing in Session 2 in the morning.

Here is a link to it on their website. It states that videos of the sessions will be released in due course. Lygo's photo is top row, fourth from left if anybody cares.....

agree, if that is what happened but…he didnt it was a loser or not worth buying, he said they had lost money on it….big difference..

stansmith1 you are right, I read what Lygo said and imo it has been taken out of context, the show hasn't made any money yet, it is a word of mouth show and will sell as people hear and read about it!

Also could be Lygo is not gushing about ITV's and ITVx's position now as it's better to leave any rosy news for announcing on Q1 numbers and report May 9th!

Netcurtains. No sane outfit would pay ten times Friday's close for ITV, 125p imo is an opening gambit if indeed there are predators.

I visit this thread once in a Blue Moon to see if there are any gems of info on ITV and I hate to say it, but there are some really ill informed posters.

How's about the real world, ITV are a value share, buy it and savour it growing to a couple of quid while enjoying a superb dividend, hoping for bids and such is futile.

May 9th may have some positive vibes, the comment by Lygo about the Post Office drams was imo a deflection to lay a 'don't expect' miracles scenario. It's odds on that Dame McCall has something up her sleeve, it will be better than we all have been led to believe.
