02/5/2024 11:06 | matt: That is on one side. The other side is directors are notoriously bad at knowing what the market thinks..... So often the price goes directly the reverse.... Eg they could think "oh dear just look at Israel.." then the next minute peace breaks out.... | netcurtains
02/5/2024 10:46 | Net , we’ve had this conversation before and we will both beg to differ , which is fine. With the greatest of respect you’ve done one study. I traded in the markets for 25 years and on occasion it was definitely a good indicator. Think about it. Directors have intimate insight into the dealings of a company and know therefore for example when trading conditions (like advertising revs) are turning. In those circumstances (unlike a bid) they can buy or sell accordingly. Let’s continue to agree to disagree. | ![]() matthewr1
02/5/2024 10:43 | “ AGMs are 99.9% a waste of time” Maybe but I’m still curious to watch it at 11am today. Anyone got a link? | ![]() loginname
02/5/2024 10:32 | I've done a study of director dealings (using a large sample)... There is no relationship to them buying or selling and price rises or falls.. Its purely random. | netcurtains
02/5/2024 10:22 | AGMs are 99.9% a waste of time (unless there is a planned revolt on director remuneration). With the trading statement due in less than a week , make that 100% a waste of time. Directors are not allowed to buy stock if the company is a target as that’s insider dealing. | ![]() matthewr1
02/5/2024 10:20 | It was 17k shares, hardly meaningful. And directors are not allowed to purchase shares if they have inside knowledge of corportate action. We would all welcome a bid but that RNS is a nothing burger! | ![]() huckers
02/5/2024 10:15 | Nice director buy. Getting in there before the takeover!👍 spud | ![]() jonnybig

01/5/2024 18:08 | Does anyone have a link to the live webcast for the AGM tomorrow? I can only find previous recordings on the investor centre: hxxps://www.itvplc.c | ![]() loginname
01/5/2024 16:39 | ITV Studios unusually sells a subsidiary (purchased in 2019) - financials not disclosed, all cashflow positive, but probably relatively small amount, no idea. hxxps://www.hollywoo | ![]() wsb diamondhans
01/5/2024 15:02 | Perhaps I'll post a few messages and see what the pros on the board thinks... | netcurtains
01/5/2024 11:05 | Yeah comments dotted about from time to time - i shared the link after noticing ITV was being discussed briefly in the "PREDICTION: Post-Skydance Paramount timeline" thread. Also mentions AMC Networks & ITV - but I think AMC are too small! | ![]() wsb diamondhans
01/5/2024 10:27 | WSB: I went through the lists, there was nothing there for ITV... (apart from ITV bought the maker of Sherlock Holmes) | netcurtains
01/5/2024 10:07 | Check out the this interesting resource - the Media M&A channel on Reddit. Yeah it's mostly US stuff as you'd expect - but ITV has got a mention a few times! reddit.com / r / MediaMergers | ![]() wsb diamondhans

01/5/2024 08:20 | Netcurtains - I also just found out ITVX can now be downloaded on PlayStation 5 - they kept that quiet! Should add many thousands of viewers. ( ) | ![]() loginname

01/5/2024 08:04 | If you want to watch ITVx while on holiday there is a way | netcurtains
30/4/2024 21:28 | There will be NO BID. Too many legal and national complications and only studios are worth much, so all those looking for a rescue will be disappointed. It was the Dame’s only way of leaving and saving face but it ain’t happening. BOD will have to take the hard path out of this and improve the business ( and it is possible ) as opposed to selling out | ![]() greenhat67
30/4/2024 21:08 | WSB Diamondhans...Bagche Bargainsniper, get read to stagger yourself, wtf is going to move this up, the resignation of the CEO and board or a bid! so stagger on mate! | ![]() mossy11
