11/3/2024 08:28 | unastubbs10 Mar '24 - 14:49 - 6586 of 6606 I'm sure the PI holdings aren't material. Maybe expect an RNS from Liberty to say they have reduced their holding? Why would any of the institutional share holders want to offload any of their shares at a loss? There is plenty of plenty of buying pressure building here despite what Blackdonkey keeps moaning about. We have seen just one of the shorters reducing their positions a little last week and the share price surged from 60p to 70p Point72 Europe (London) LLP 0.41% 7 Mar 2024 The other two are like sitting ducks ..... :-) Canada Pension Plan Investment Board 0.61% 0.09% 20 Dec 2023 Vor Capital LLP 0.61% 0.10% 5 Dec 2023 80p by the end of the week ? | ![]() tlobs2

11/3/2024 07:56 | Some people will sell because of tax reasons. Some because of personal circumstances. Some because they have them years and just need the cash and don't do much with shares. Some people will sell because they were fortunate enough to buy right at the bottom, and are happy with a quick 20%. | ![]() pinemartin9
11/3/2024 07:50 | well yes...but would be better if they strted buying in the 60s... | unastubbs

11/3/2024 07:40 | Interesting to look at Lloyds RNS - “Transaction In Own Shares”. Morgan Stanley are running the same thing for Lloyds. This is what we should expect to read soon. Clicking the embedded pdf link in RNS shows 40 pages of micro transactions - couple of thousand each time. Seems automated and discreet… | ![]() loginname
11/3/2024 07:40 | Since results day we have had a volume of 56m. For every buy there is a selling counterparty. Let's see what happens this week. Will shorts continue to trim their positions (and we only have visibility on anything above the 0.5% threshold)? Will the buybacks start and at what rate? Will the daily volume stay high? Will the share price continue to climb? | ![]() huckers

10/3/2024 15:30 | @huckers - yep you’re right. I find simplywallst is a great source of info for things like this once registered. Their Ownership tab for ITV suggests 200.5m / 4.96% held by public / retail. Rest is pretty much VC/public companies/institutio At least one large holder will need to be motivated by price in order for MS to complete the buyback… | ![]() loginname

10/3/2024 14:49 | I'm sure the PI holdings aren't material. Maybe expect an RNS from Liberty to say they have reduced their holding? But whatever the situation with 171 institutional shareholders I doubt they will find it difficult to find sellers. here is a screenshot of the Lex piece from the FT yday - thanks to blackdown2 for locating that | unastubbs |
