I don't use it, this is the only forum I use. May be that's not so uncommon.

Don't know why I bothered really: IQG interest on Twitter is next to zero.

Hi All, in honour of the bagging I decided to put together a Twitter thread summarising IQG and their future potential. Please read/like/retweet if you can. If you can't see it then I can reproduce here. Not too many surprises for board regulars but bringing together some interesting points for newbies.

It looks too coincidental for the Adaptive Grid webinar not to account for some of the subsequent price rise. Have some people at prospective Grid customers been buying?

Something happening, might be Adaptive Grid?

Reaching some targets I didn't expect for a while.

Very interesting action.

Well my IQGeo friends, today is a happy day for me as the shareprice is now double my IQG ISA average of 136p. Although IQG are now 21% of my portfolio I have no plans to sell for the foreseeable future as I believe there's so much more to come. Just released...
IQGeo’s fiber solution just got even better! 🎉
Today we announced the summer release of Network Manager Telecom with new capabilities from the inetgration of Comsof Fiber and a new fiber Path Finder solution for automated circuit routing.

IQGeo have released access to last week's webinar on their Adaptive Grid. 69% of the webinar's attendees are planning upgrades.

Have you heard about the alternative solution to the Esri Utility Network migration? IQGeo Adaptive Grid is a modern alternative that focuses on a network-centric approach to digitalize your workflows while coexisting with your ArcGIS systems.

'A utility network model management alternative that pairs with your traditional GIS' presented by Adrian McNulty, VP of Utility Solutions, Troy Freissle-lewis, Product Manager and Andy Gay, Sales Director at IQGeo.

IQGeo have tweeted about their article in the Society for Broadband Professionals. The Brightspeed rollout is cited as a great model of what can be achieved.

"Access to fast internet has not only become integral to everyday life, it has become a standard. Raf Meersman explains why now is the right time for operators to accelerate fiber rollout on the latest @scte_Int journal."

"...Learn from the success of Brightspeed
A great example of an operator successfully implementing novel solutions is US internet provider Brightspeed. They have accelerated the planning and construction of their fibre optics network buildout, taking a constant innovation
approach.
To accelerate network deployment, Brightspeed is rolling out a suite of fibre-based Optical Distribution Network technologies and integrated software architecture that leverages the distributed tap product solution to increase
efficiency and accelerate the deployment process. Taking this approach has allowed Brightspeed to expand its fibre optics network far more quickly than a traditional centralised
split design.
This agile approach is helping Brightspeed reach the ambitious target of delivering broadband to 3 million homes and businesses in the next five years. This includes areas where fibre has not yet been deployed, expanding their geographic reach and revenue potential..."

As we heard in IQGeo CMO Steve Tongish's recent interview, IQGeo are taking the fight to Esri's upgrade of EUN. Here are a couple more examples of this more direct, assertive and compellingly disruptive challenge in the text of IQG tweets referencing a new blog and a webinar. Importantly, emphasis is also that IQG software will work with existing ArcGIS software models.

The Esri “GIS hammer” won’t fix your network model management problems.

Read our latest blog to learn a how to avoid the serious shortcomings of the Esri ”GIS hammer” >

Customers moving to the Esri Utility Network as their network model manager are quickly realizing that this is not merely an upgrade, but instead a fundamental rebuild of their entire #GIS. Learn about an alternative solution on this webinar.

Oracle have all the AI capabilities needed.
Done properly it could put SSP in a coffin in short order.

Have been looking at Oracle again as a potential buy. Not cheap but at an inflection point. Their enterprise offerings are impressive but the more I look at the ADMS/utility side the more it looks like IQGEO can fill gaps in GIS and mobility. The Oracle mobility offering looks clunky and complex.

One thing missing from the below is that the "nerve centre" needs the most up to date data and, as DERs will be integrated more and more rapidly, that is best achieved in real-time from the instalation edge = mobile. Data from the edge is the most recent, IQGEO can offer that.

If I was in Oracle I would be interested in IQGEO.

Outage management would be improved too with IQGEO to get the edge up and running more quickly.

Hope they are keeping an eye on SSP with ESRI and developments there.

The old case of the friend of my enemy is my enemy.

Also, some further use of AI along the lines of SSP Vision could add value. Also worker safety for Grid enhancements.

We are at a critical juncture, get it right and this can motor and shift up a gear or two in growth.

I do believe another acquisition or sale of IQG (or merger) is in the wings.

Kestrel has not been nibbling recently and the drive to 260p on low volume. Some management going on. Whatever they said about raising debt for any acquisition I think they will issue shares to increase liquidity and raise cash and possibly based on the average share price over some previous period when a transaction happens. Or a sale price for IQG will be based on that.

Kestrel either think its overvalued now or their Director on the board knows something and they can't buy???

That 260p on low volume looks strange to me.

GLA, dyor etc.

Yes, it definitely looks like IQGeo see this EUN upgrade as an opportunity to take business from Esri. With AT&T they didn't name the customer at first but added them to their customer awards in Oct/Nov. Maybe we'll find out that other major customer then, with hopefully a few more.

Much as expected but interesting on the value potential for ESRI upgrades. A couple of them and this is no longer stretched in value but actually under valued imho.

Re AGM, maybe so. As you say, side-comments, facial expressions and body language can reveal a lot. Officially though: "all resolutions put to shareholders were duly passed".

Detecting ever more bold and direct challenges to Esri's EUN in this upcoming webinar...

A Utility Network Model Management Alternative that Pairs with your Traditional GIS.

"If you’re currently using the Esri Geometric Network, you may believe that migrating to Utility Network (EUN) is your only path forward. However, you now have a proven, flexible, and powerful network model management alternative to pair with your existing GIS: IQGeo Adaptive Grid.

Customers moving to the EUN as their network model manager are quickly realizing that this is not merely an upgrade, but instead a fundamental rebuild of their entire GIS. Disruptive change is coming any way you look at it. But what if instead of settling to recreate a GIS-centric approach to your utility portfolio, you could take advantage of this opportunity to focus on your core asset – your network? With Adaptive Grid, you can pivot to a product created from the ground up for utilities, by utility experts, that focuses on a network-centric approach to digitalize your workflows..."

I bet hints are dropped. Just listen to the youtube interview that mentions the potential vs ESRI and that is a public channel. Stuff will be mentioned over a private coffee after AGM. Chatham rules and all that. I find it hard to believe it wouldn't happen.
