11/5/2023 22:10 | To allow for renewables etc, the US needs to double the size of the Grid according to the link below. Double or not it will need more s/w tools from the field up anyway. A market virtually guaranteed to grow. | p1nkfish
11/5/2023 08:51 | Would hope IQGEO are looking into any benefits AI can bring in excess of that COMSOF brought to the party. It could add value around the edges. | p1nkfish
11/5/2023 08:16 | Looking at the cup & handle and adding some fibonnacci (if it plays out that way) there is an around 297p target. This is on the monthly chart going back to float on exchange. The target above that is around £4.68. I have seen this type of thing happen so not impossible even if the valuation is stretched. TBD, DYOR etc. | p1nkfish
09/5/2023 20:57 | Bentley beat estimates. Good news for the infrastructure s/w market as a whole. Expect Nemetschek likewise. | p1nkfish
09/5/2023 14:01 | Good to see Corning mentioning IQGEO experience as a skill. $26Bn market cap and a major supplier to fiber installation market. | p1nkfish
08/5/2023 22:02 | Looking over recent price action, appears promising. I was expecting it to cool off but instead still a steady interest around this level. 21st April in USA a 100K changed hands on the OTC market. It's only 100K but that market has been dead then suddenly 100K out of the blue. The only other time we had volume there (over the full timeframe) was 15/08/22 & 16/08/22 at about 100K each day. I suspect there is an acquisition in the wings or a merger. It could be instigated by IQG or they be the target. Taking ESRI head on in Grid could be worth major $$$, dwarfing fiber. | p1nkfish
08/5/2023 21:39 | Taking ESRI head on. Little to lose but everything to gain. "If you’re currently using the Esri Geometric Network, you may believe that migrating to Utility Network (EUN) is your only path forward. However, you now have a proven, flexible, and powerful network model management alternative to pair with your existing GIS: IQGeo Adaptive Grid." | p1nkfish
29/4/2023 22:22 | Hadn't considered it but it's down the road from my office and I reckon I owe you a pint | w13ken
29/4/2023 07:38 | Anyone going to the AGM? London this time, why? At the law firm? | p1nkfish
29/4/2023 07:37 | Warren could do a lot worse than roll-up IQGEO to offer a mobile first platform and maintain the listing in the UK and go for a US listing too. The SSP AI field capabilities would be a game changer coupled with Comsof planning AI. Total valuation would be substantial very quickly. Much higher than today. IQGEO, COMSOF, SSP, 3-Gis - all under one umbrella. Existing shareholders could maintain a stake. Fantasy stuff but stranger things have happened. | p1nkfish
28/4/2023 06:17 | I could see IQGEO becoming a target sooner than expected. | p1nkfish
28/4/2023 06:00 | A couple of loosely related observations. 1) The digitization of construction is growing rapidly. Nemetscheck results were very good. I think some of that vibe has/will spill over to IQGEO. 2) Bare with me. Warren Eqity Partners in the US bought SSP Innovations (Peter Batty there now) who then bought 3-GIS. SSP just launched their AI Vision system - looks really neat. Warren just had a capital raise (April 2023) of over $1.4Bn that was OVER SUBSCRIBED for future acquisitions and investments in these markets. Warren target companies just like IQGEO in mission critical infrastructure and now have extra substantial fire power and the SSP capabilities tied to IQGEO would be game changing and substantially enhance value. Warren are not stupid. SSP + 3-GIS + IQGEO (Comsof, OSPInsight, IQG) would offer a really attractive proposition to the market. Get rid of over-laps and profitability would be no problem. | p1nkfish
27/4/2023 09:28 | The volumes are low relative to 3 month average but I think we can say: 1) The cup & handle going back to 2014 is completing. 2) It's completing with a return to "time average" (slightly above) price before the collapse started. 3) Looks like blue sky above with little resistance. 4) Management "happy" (one of them said so) and confident for the future. 5) Pushing at an open door in Fiber planning/roll-out. Utilities to follow in time. 6) ARR rising and cashflow positive more or less in the bag. Valuation is stretched but tightly held and I see 280p as next leg-up to match the wick of 9th Feb 2014. Dyor etc. Yes, valuation stretched but this is a quality opportunity and they never come cheap. | p1nkfish
24/4/2023 11:20 | Southern States, haven't had chance to search. Doubt it's T-Mobile or Verizon. | p1nkfish
24/4/2023 10:53 | Folks, any thoughts on who the latest contract is with? We know it's a "rapidly growing large tier 1 telecom operator in the US" so aside from AT&T here are 5 possibles but are there any we can rule out or others that are missed? * GTT Communications * Lumen Technologies (formerly CenturyLink) * T-Mobile US (formerly Sprint) * Verizon Enterprise Solutions (formerly UUNET) * Zayo Group (formerly AboveNet) | w13ken
21/4/2023 07:12 | AT&T, Q1 results, maintains yearly forecast but Q1 had some headwinds that shouldn't repeat and met internal forecasts. Q1 Added 272,000 fiber subscribers. 13th straight quarter of adding at least 200,000 fiber customers. AT&T Fiber has nearly 20 million consumers plus 3 million business accounts and on track to expand total fiber customer base to over 30 million by 2026. All need network planning, maintenance etc over life cycle = IQGEO. | p1nkfish
20/4/2023 22:59 | Wouldn't be surprised if there was another acquisition opportunity coming along. With care there is every possibility they will be able to use the future cashflows to spiral upward in value via careful bolt-ons. A fortunate position, a fly-wheel potential. | p1nkfish
19/4/2023 22:01 | Excellent annual report, well worth a deep read. | p1nkfish
18/4/2023 22:12 | Price gapped-up today, what happens next will be interesting. The possible cup & handle going back 2014 is still in play even if the gap is filled back to Mondays close. | p1nkfish
18/4/2023 11:04 | If they do £45M (stretch) this is about £200M+ market cap. | p1nkfish
18/4/2023 07:22 | Replacing this customer's ESRI system is hugely significant, equivalent in importance to the landing of AT&T as a customer was in 2022, maybe even more so. ESRI still dominates the market and its contracts will be sticky, but they are now clearly vulnerable. ESRI will respond, but important to remember that telecoms and utilities are still a small part of its revenue which is dominated by governments and institutions. Also, it is, amazingly, still owned by the same person who founded it in 1969 and run conservatively. Agree that finnCap will surely need to upgrade revenue forecasts. For 2024, I would hope that revenue will be closer to £45M than the £35.4M that finnCap currently forecasts. That's a stretch target, but could well be achievable. | horseyphil
18/4/2023 06:35 | A point to note - this is SMB (Small & Medium Business) but still $2.5M. Large for the SMB segment perhaps but indicative that other wins outside of SMB can be even larger. | p1nkfish
18/4/2023 06:26 | Good news, given ESRI a poke in the eye. Sounds like another land and expand. I just don't see the existing Finncap 2023 revenue forecast as valid, it is highly likely to be upgraded. | p1nkfish
17/4/2023 07:47 | Another 30K bought but Kestrel at 211p. Good. Probably a hint there? | p1nkfish |
