22/11/2022 18:32 | These use OSPINSIGHT, a decent target in energy, not small. They have fiber needs but the energy side looks most interesting. | p1nkfish
21/11/2022 19:36 | If there is a shake we could have a floor at 180p. If this goes ahead, hope Comsof have a chance to be involved. The Comsof heat network side was probably thrown in for free when acquired but in time, with some evolution, it could be quite useful and an earner. | p1nkfish
20/11/2022 17:39 | I check various sources regularly and this is a very quiet period for news, interesting. I think that is no bad thing and expect they are working on various contracts that will become very newsworthy going forward plus Comsof integration. TU around end of January, say 10 weeks, by then expect at least one RNS release that will be useful. | p1nkfish
20/11/2022 17:24 | I can see £2.20 too, first is the barrier of £2.00 and all the limits beneath. IQG does have a high rating but companies of this type typically would. Solid customer base in a solid segment exhibiting growing need for IQG type products. Capital light, decent margins, increasing recurring revenue, relative long contracts +++. Consolidating market meaning a buy-out offer could land any time. None of that potential comes cheap. | p1nkfish
20/11/2022 14:33 | Looks like his target from his 7th Nov trade was £2.20 for IQGEO which I believe is were Zak Mir potentially saw it going. | red ninja
20/11/2022 09:03 | We can do without the herd just yet. Was hoping few would arrive until this is bigger and spinning of unadjusted cash. Had noticed what looked like smaller parcels being taken off market, like small pi's arriving. | p1nkfish
20/11/2022 08:21 | So Robbie Burns at The Naked Trader has added to his holding (didn't realise he held it) and talks about it at length in his latest blog. Of course, if he decides to take profits in the future, that could impact the short-term price in a major way, so worth keeping an eye on his position - he has lots of followers. This might explain some of the latest increase, though the share price has been strong ever since the Denver Meetup on 19th October - it was 158p going into that. Seemed like a very well-attended, successful event. | horseyphil
19/11/2022 09:45 | BCG report below on cost per EV to the infrastructure companies in the US. From Collab Fund: "There are already ~2.5 million EVs on the road; by 2030, ~44 million will be sold each year........BCG estimates that they will need to allocate “$1,700 and $5,800 to accommodate each new EV through 2030.” The cost of upgrading transmission and distribution lines – one piece in a much larger puzzle – may reach $15-25 billion." As ELECTRICITY DISPLACES OIL FOR TRANSPORT it becomes ever more important the Grid is rock solid, resilient. Little will move if it can't be charged. Even more economic activity will depend on reliable Grid Networks and anyone cutting corners or not mapping/twinning accurately will trip up in time. Grid recovery from natural events will be even more critical too, especially if emergency vehicles become electric. | p1nkfish
15/11/2022 23:33 | 14th Nov 2022. Not sure if this was hinted at in the past. 6 yr contract with chance to extend a further 2 yrs. Only hit this magazine 14/11 so may be new. Bodes well for others opportunities in Europe. Do a translation to English - | p1nkfish
12/11/2022 00:03 | I don't expect it W13 but that's no reason not to look for the levels, just in case. Looking over the volumes occurring I think some stock has been distributed to more owners each at lower volume - just my opinion - and such holders can be shaken out. This is so tightly held that a few of them being spooked could increase volatility to the downside as they head for the door. What might spook them? Might not happen but worth giving some cash handy just in case. | p1nkfish
11/11/2022 22:58 | Thanks p1nkfish but do you expect to see that big of a pullback? Comparing the IQG chart to those of all my other shares over a 5-year period - not quite 4 for IQG - it's remarkable how steady a climb it's been. Of course there have been pullbacks, some not so long ago, but it seems that the company is run very prudently and professionally and the switch to SaaS and the Comsof buy sets us up well for the future. Good luck and all the best... | w13ken
11/11/2022 21:35 | Pullbacks happen but I think this will run towards 220p, no idea how long to get there though. Looking at my take on the the TA the 2 stop points on any pullback, should it happen, will currently be: a) 153p as the middle of a channel I plot that tracks the trading range quite well. b) 134.5p as bottom of that channel, happens to be the supertrend weekly change point too. If it pulls back to either it, imho, looks like a very good buying opportunity and chance to load up as much as possible. If it breaks below 134p it's an avoid as something would have gone very wrong. Those levels should have changed by this time next week. | p1nkfish
10/11/2022 09:45 | Brightspeed came out of Lumen. What is left of Lumen uses Comsof/GE Smallworld. Considerable opportunity. | p1nkfish
05/11/2022 11:43 | Costs are no doubt rising with increased headcount and integration but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see growth accelerate substantially above cost and that not being just fiber. The recent volume action is very interesting so close to a price high we haven't seen for over 8 years - about Sept 2014. Since 2014 this has transformed into a light capital need business with relatively long contract recurring revenue streams with a solid customer base that has a long investment horizon. What appears a very solid base indeed & a base that needs to transform in a way IQGEO offers them the ability to achieve. Once spinning off cash it can become a CAPITAL LIGHT COMPOUNDER, so long as they keep doing the right things. The valuation of such a business will typically be quite high. News could land at any moment. I agree with Zak Mirs type of target but that is not the terminal price if they execute well. This would have suitors more than able to take it out well above £2.20 when the time is right or IQGEO gets to grow organically as well as eat others and build scale - achieving >> £2.20. | p1nkfish
05/11/2022 11:16 | CGI + IQGEO "Pilot at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management" | p1nkfish
04/11/2022 23:20 | Orderly transfer at close to 52 week high, very interesting. 3% threshold is 1,840,609, might be an RNS next week to help clarify at least one party in the transaction. | p1nkfish
04/11/2022 13:19 | Two 750 k (number) trades at 10:03 today at 174p | red ninja
04/11/2022 08:50 | Zak Mir put out a video on 2/11 suggesting 220p target price so long as this holds much above about 160p. | p1nkfish
03/11/2022 21:26 | VP of SMB at OSPINSIGHT (was CEO before acquisition) - Wade Anderson - has moved to Elements. Looks like he had done his bit and he's landed a chance to express himself in another market, financial. After the Ospi integration, and addition of Comsof, it makes sense for someone young with a Harvard background to want to gain more experience elsewhere. | p1nkfish
24/10/2022 15:25 | Customer Innovation Awards has some big names. | p1nkfish
22/10/2022 11:20 | Very promising. Thanks horsey. I don't see why that total spend shouldn't find its way into UK SME and our economy and even the crumbs are worth decent $ to the like of IQGEO. If a few of those involved in the digital twin element sat round a table it would be good for all, to make sure each optimises their offering to work with the other. | p1nkfish
22/10/2022 09:12 | CGI, an IQGEO partner, is involved in this National Grid project. | horseyphil |
