IQGEO at the centre of a great deal of spend in US fiber. Nokia on stand is interesting. $42.5Bn spend allocated to BEAD program.

A) AT&T (Global #1) use IQGEO and Corning and partner NOKIA -

B) Corning were advertising for IQGEO experience. Posted here a while back.

C) NOKIA noticeably on IQGEO stand.

D) Brightspeed and others too tied in with IQGEO - IQGEO very important to speed and cost of roll-out -

Money to be spent: "Congress appropriated $42.45 billion to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to administer the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program established under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA; P.L.15 Jun 2023"

This is dwarfed by the GRID potential.

Interesting blog today about what IQGeo learned at Fiber Connect 2023 in August. Included are thoughts on the US federal government’s $42.45 billion plan to expand high-speed internet access across the country, process automation and software ease-of-use.

IQG have been hitting the road hard for international conferences and I'm optimistic that there will be some more contract news prior to the Half-year results in 3 weeks.

Kestrel have been nibbling around 298p.

Do they have enough capacity left to 29.99% to compensate for whomever is selling?

September interims should throw more light on the outlook for H2 and wake-up some interest.

A period of price consolidation currently with Kestrel support about 298p and I think someone else accumulating as others move out.

A break out upwards, out of consolidation, is my expectation. Interims may be the catalyst but also suspect news is due. Kestrel are on the BoD and wouldn't be committing at 298p unless there was a very high probability of decent upside imho.

I'm often wrong so dyor etc.

Old price targets on this thread still look valid.

Carolyn Rand now joined BoD of ODX as NED.

"Omega (AIM: ODX), the specialist medical diagnostics company focused on industry-leading Health and Nutrition products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carolyn Rand to the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect."

The news release has arrived on Marketscreener and the Cambridge Network sites in the past 12 hours or so.

GE - Not at the field end but consolidation at the data end but interesting none the less knowing the history of GE, Smallworld etc. and importance of knowing the location of the data source. IQGEO will be a target for a bigger player one day. They need to bulk up first with revenue to optimize any sell price or to stand a chance of remaining independent if that is best.

Look at capacity needing to be connected and needing field personnel to do so with at the edge mobile first software to help despatch them and log their activities.

"Data integration is also key to solving renewables connection challenges. Approximately 1,350 gigawatts of additional, mostly sustainable power capacity is waiting to be constructed and connected to the grid. This large-scale interconnection backlog results in wasted capacity and unutilized investment. Scenario planning and grid simulations can provide an opportunity to increase line capacity and drive deeper visibility into the impact of such assets on the grid, allowing capacity to be connected faster and helping to reduce hundreds of millions of dollars of traditional back-up generators. Such use cases require the integration of forecasting, simulation, historical grid OT, sensor, line, and inertia data."

Not to mention extra EV charging station networks/loads needing installation. "........there are expected to be 77M EVs on the road by 2025 and 229M by 2030"

Probably not large enough to RNS now heading for £40M+ revenue for the year.

Land and expand?

Adrian McNulty VP Utility Solutions: this is a great place for these new customers to begin their digital transformation journeys.. we look forward to expanding the use of IQGeo software into other operational areas over time.

Connected Britain 2023 floor plan.

NetPMD work with both IQGEO & 3-GIS.

NetPMD have a booth in the same stand as 3-GIS, looks like duplication in the same location unless 3-GIS will be promoting NetPMD as the design house and NetPMD just promote 3-GIS as the tool used.

With a bit of luck this help IQGEO as NetPMD get to meet those going to 3-GIS booth and some may be captured with IQGEO design software unless NetPMD are more 3-GIS biased now, some silver crossed palms?

IQGEO have their own booth too - 12m sq.
NetPMD - 18m sq.
3-GIS - 15m sq.

I would be looking to compete 3-GIS into the dust to avoid them getting any foothold especially not via an IQGEO partner that might have sensitive info.

BoD also not interested at this price outside of a very small Petti buy and Kestrel spending discretionary money. Taking out a few it leaves:

P Taylor, Non-Executive Chair
I Kershaw, NED, Remuneration Committee & Audit Committee
A MacLeod, NED
C Rand, NED, Audit Committee (Chair)

If they don't think it's worth it at these levels why should anyone else?

Not asking much for BoD share buys after they made such large upside on capital from being able to take part in Comsof acquisition where others couldn't and did so at a discount etc.

Now PIs are expected to buy for "potential" upside of about 17% after BoD had a 130% run-up.

Leadership example -

7% revenue increase projected for FY2024 over FY2023.
Not to be greedy but I would hope it would be more than that, which is about £2.8M, unless margins expand by a fair few points.

New IQGeo blog on the recent launch of 3 Network Manager editions, making the software more affordable for smaller and medium-sized businesses as well.

"Why has Network Manager Telecom changed?
As the fiber and broadband industry grows increasingly competitive and complex, we’ve seen that there are diverse organizations operating different networks with different business priorities across the ecosystem. They vary in the scope of their networks, the number of users, available IT resources, maturity of their processes, and budgets.

When it comes to network management software, one size does not fit all."

I think they would get better PR & impact if there were buys by the BoD.

The same report is on Proactive with a few more typos:

It's unlikely to bring many new PI's unless they are prepared to do a proper deep dive but I'm ok with us staying in the 300-range until the Half-year results next month. Hopeful that we'll have new contract news before then.

IMHO, this is a perfect example of PR to aid distribution to PI's in order to clear a seller whilst BoD sit on their hands.

Steer well clear until other BoD members do the right thing and offer leadership.
All it takes is a few thousand shares between them as a clear message to market.

Directors chipped in £400K approx at 125p per Share, approx 8p discount on the market price at the time of the Comsof acquisition. They have seen approximately 2.38x increase in their investment in less than 12 months. From memory Chapman couldn't take part as CFO. Exempt Petti as he has bought some.

Are they unable to invest another 10% between them, < £40K x-Petti at this juncture?

Real message is it's their Gravy Train.
They had all the knowledge, bought at discount and pi's were not invited.
Now buyers are needed to clear a seller and where are the BoD?

I'm very pro-IQGEO.

BoD support outside of taking advantage of a one way bet, not so sure about them.

Anyone could do that at the time given the info they had.

Now is time for them to show support. Hands in pockets.

BoDs that only take part because its a one way street with access and knowledge they have others don't are not indicative of a good set-up.

PIs need to take care with such.

With the director activity I doubt there's much chance of corporate activity in the near future.

Chapman couldn't get involved with taking part in the Comsof benefits, shares issued at an attractive price.

Would be interesting to see some directors that did benefit substantially buy a few now rather than just Petti and Kestrel.

Put their hands in their pockets instead of just sitting back. Leadership at the entire BoD level matters and that includes indicating they think there is further to go by buying some from the market.

Its not just a cash machine for those in the know.

I hope Chapman also benefitted from the Comsof work.
