Not specifically, I was merely referring to your post some time back when you mentioned your target price to exit was some way below £1, although I concede you may have upped it since. I think generally we have mostly all been far too optimistic, if you look back at your posts over the past few years you will see that you have consistently been reading too much into IQEs potential and overestimated how much of the pie IQE might get, and the truth is the more pessimistic view has sadly been borne out. I for one hope you are right with your very positive outlook but currently there is nothing to suggest IQE has changed its spots. As we all keep on saying, the market demands proof, but I have some doubts we will get that in the form of a July TU or even at a forward guidance statement in September. If it does happen I suspect it’s more likely in 2025.

mw16 & lts - “another 2017 in prospect” would not equate to a 50-60p share price.

Who knows what sweenoid’s situation & motivation might be. And frankly, does it really matter? Whilst we could indeed be on the brink of a significant upwards re-rate, I long gave up paying any attention to his uber-optimistic posts.

Who in their right mind posts here for the best part of a decade and then talks about bailing just as the company is making strides towards real growth and profitability.Doesn't sound like a person who believes in the companies prospects and his own posts

“Unlike some on here I prefer to invest before the herd join in”

What does that even mean? We’re all invested here already, before the heard sets in 🤷🏼‍♂️

Wishing all of us luck and that you get your 50-60p exit price this year and can then enjoy your retirement without having to invest further and can switch off from posting on message boards 👍

This is highly encouraging

With IQE firmly placed to ‘profit’ from the 2 biggest trends of 2024 - generative AI and power GAN and then later the rise of the microled market things are positive.

Unlike some on here I prefer to invest before the herd join in and added another 100k last week, I firmly believe we have another 2017 in prospect, which suits me as I plan to exit the madness of share trading this year.

As an addition IQE didn’t have a sales force in 2017 - now our CEO is a ‘market’ man with massive previous success in sales especially to Asia and also on board are his senior sales team from GF covering the USA and Europe.

26.5p resistance was tough to crack, the major resistance level now is 36.25p - last attempt to broach that failed , it’s only a mater of time ….

Votiem - could just be rising sector tide currently lifting all boats.

But of course that would rapidly unwind if IQE proved itself (yet again) to be an outlier.

Interesting week. We really do need some positive news to lift us towards 40p.

Agreed lTS although I will be first to “big up” Americo if he even gets to 2x revenue and 25% profits by 2027.

Doubt the share price can take out 37p without some good news but share price movements can be arbitrary sometimes so it’s not impossible…

Wouldn't we have seen revenue ramping up in the last trading update?
IQE is like a cult at this stage, you invest by faith, not knowledge.
When is the next trading update?

In theory analysis of Americos words are 3x revenue and 30% margins by 2027 which even though be didn’t confirm them at the AGM some decided his “i’m not reaffirming them every time” meant he was.

I hope he doesn’t come to regret such a bold target, because if it doesn’t come close to being realised he will be judged harshly by investors.

Is this is what IQE has come to...where we have to analyse management's words lol

LTS - spot on.

Why on earth would anyone take a "we don't comment" answer to mean yes?

I took his comment as a plain old, “i’m fed up of answering these type of questions as the answer is always we don’t comment”. I would think reading anything else into it is just fanciful and it’s just as likely IQE do mot have a financial relationship with them any longer.

We await a July TU, otherwise we can be fairly sure they are not doing anything other than hitting analysts estimates for this year, as Americo guided in March.

Mmmm 🤔
One of my questions for the AGM asked “is IQE still working/ partnered with Bluglass’.
The answer from Americo was a very curt “we don’t discuss partners” I took that as a yes 😉

I asked because an IQE VP of epitaxy development was a speaker ( a very good one) in a recent Bluglass webcast on GAN

SO I WONDER if this is us? The A$quoted price to save you checking is just over a £1million

Bluglass are an interesting company that I have been following for some timethat is finally making waves and good headway and IQE were originally working with them with their cREO technology ( still dumped)

The wording says wafer developer and doesn’t mention epitaxy but it’s a world of smoke and mirrors isn’t it!
