26/1/2018 17:20 | I was reading a previous post of investors holding on and not getting caught up in the panic over the last few days. I appreciate all the recent activity is being caused by the shooters. It was only when I started reading this board that I realised that this was why the shares are losing current value.I tried day trading in October, trying to sell and buy back at a cheaper price and ended up getting my fingers burned as the increase in the price caused me to lose about 8 % of my holdings.I have taken a big gamble and have all my eggs in one basket, the basket being IQE. I don't need my investments at the moment so I look purely at the numbers, my ISA is currently in the red by 37% and my SIPP has lost 31%.This has been a over a short time. I was tempted to get involved in the short term trading as this time last week the share price was 130p and this week it is 105p, a reduction of 25p. I have not sold as from reading this board, the future looks good. I am hoping when the shooters close, we go back to normality. As a lot of long term investors say, don't panic, DYOR and sit back and look forward to the summer. It is very frustrating as I have never experienced this type of activity and I have been investing for over 7 years. This game is great when we make money but this type of volatility tests us and may cause sleepless nights.Everyone who has posted here will be aware of the good posts that Sweenoid has posted as he has the knowledge. I wish I logged on to this board earlier as I have lost out on the earlier knowledge. Stay strong and let the storm past. I am hoping to recoup my loses this year. | derekfrizzel
26/1/2018 17:07 | Same old post, 'strong recovery', '120p by monday', 'next stop 140p', 'shorts will close next week, and then we're heading up'. Please stop, it will increase when it increases, the shorts will close when they choose to, not because a random poster has said so. Recent posts like the ones from grity and picobird, just as examples, are helpful, but please stop with the constant ramping, it doesn't do you or the share price any favours. | michaeljames1
26/1/2018 16:58 | Why kirk? Just give us all reasons why next week is going to be a massive recovery? Don't get me wrong I hope it is buT WHY? | pazzuzu

26/1/2018 15:12 | Looking at the chart at the link below, Institutions own over 80% of IQE <=Conc_ticker& (think you need to sign up for free account - recommend saving these 20 page reports as pdf’s) | picobird
26/1/2018 15:10 | Guys. Someone do us a favour. Superimpose the price graphs of IQE and Himax over eaxhother for the lasr 12 months. Very high degree of correlation | thecrunk
26/1/2018 14:49 | In case anyone is interested in what the grown ups are doing. Long term institutional investors hold in the region of 47-50% of issued shares (not sure how the placing got distributed as I can't lay my hands on holding update RNSs from that time but if none changed then it's a bit higher as that would mean they all took enough to maintain their old holding %'s). That's about 350-375m shares between them. None have sold a share from the highs. Some have - bizarrely - loaned them out, you know who you are you naughty, naughty scamps, but none have sold any. So their investments have "lost" over £250m from the days (well hours actually) of 175p. And they're still invested. Hmm....maybe they know something.... :-) Enjoy your weekends all. | hammerd2
26/1/2018 14:47 | I have to say that I am really impressed with IQE management managing to take £95M off the institutions when they did. With hind sight it looks even better than it did at the time. | jamesrowe
26/1/2018 14:44 | massive recovery now due | kirk 6

26/1/2018 14:27 | LW425 26 Jan '18 - 13:15 - 11956 of 11971 So say 4p EPS PE 8 due to lower smartphone sales in China IQE is worth in my view 32p. IT has DEBTS also. LW425 - 24 Jan 2018 - 14:08:18 - 11654 of 11972 say EPS 4p. pe 15 60p fair value here no dividend has DEBT Great analysis, another tool filtered | davemac3

26/1/2018 13:31 | To be honest I'm more interested in VRS than IQE right now, but do continue to keep one eye here and FST my only other share. Glad I didn't listen to the IQE sage who told us Graphene shares were a complete waste of time to research ;) | richardc77 |
