If I were an investor who has been given 9.9% of a company at 140p a share, and If I were then told that they are really worth 195p, I think I'd be buying another 9.9% in the open market at 160p to average up rather than contemplate selling any. Then I would wait and enjoy, knowing that further upgrades are very possible.

I still think people are getting over excited. This is only but the start. Come back in 5-10 years once all the business lines are mature. Until then calm down.

At least my faith has kept me alive!!! :-)

But as I have posted several times technical analysis alone does not dictate my decisions.

I shall be quite happy to buy back at 180p after today's news has been fully digested as opposed to speculating on 160p being a cheap price to buy after a placing at 140p.

How many MOVCD machines do they currently have? 40-60 new production machines is impressive expansion as they cost £2-3m each.

Aphrodite I assume the placing was 9.9% of the share capital because the directors only have authority to allot up to 10%. That would be the standard position.Now, if anyone wants to buy shares, they have to do so in the market.And with Stifel and Citi we have two US facing brokers. I will be delighted if the share price remains above 160 until lunchtime and amazed if it doesn't have a big leg up afterwards.

The fact that the placing has been made does not mean if the demand has been overwhelming the broker cannot go back to the company and suggest increasing it.

Agree, not personally a fan of charting and it can't acc for sort of high growth dynamic mkt IQE is n. All charting has to be based on past performance but when there is no history it's bunkum in my view. I hold as I believe we are in at the dawn of a new generation of wafer tech, that's why it's my biggest holding. It's a share where faith in it has to be determining factor

If you sold into today's rise you cannot fail to have banked a profit - and that's great. But I think you will be kicking yourself soon.

Trends, charts and theories are fine but they are all subservient to real events, facts, new investments and opportunities. Regardless of how many waves have come and gone, investors need to assess what is now a new situation.

This does of course give the shorts the opportunity to close their positions.

It will be interesting to see if the placing is heavily oversubscribed and if the brokers take this opportunity to increase it.

I have sold my entire holding this morning on the basis of this being the EW 5th wave move which more than likely will end the current sequence.

The next move will be down and I feel this is a good time to take profits and sit back and wait for further news.
