10/11/2017 09:30 | It took the shorters by surprise in a devastating way because a +23p rise is not pennies to play with. | fuji99
10/11/2017 09:30 | RJCDC, I don't think so, its just at the start of another journey | spursspurs
10/11/2017 09:21 | I love the smell of shorters burning in the morning, smells like.....victory.... | lurki0
10/11/2017 09:19 | Reminiscent of the dot.com bubble. A placing and shares rise instead of falling. Crazy times. Enjoy while the fun lasts and remember a profit is not a profit until it is in your bag!! | big_cat
10/11/2017 09:19 | City bank BUY note 195 target out, says bull case 250 p ? | jaws6
10/11/2017 09:18 | Too late to buy in? | rjcdc
10/11/2017 09:17 | If you are short this is death by a thousand cuts | mad foetus
10/11/2017 09:16 | If I were an investor who has been given 9.9% of a company at 140p a share, and If I were then told that they are really worth 195p, I think I'd be buying another 9.9% in the open market at 160p to average up rather than contemplate selling any. Then I would wait and enjoy, knowing that further upgrades are very possible. | verger
10/11/2017 09:15 | If only we could have a crystal ball. This could be £10 a share in 5 years time, just when I'm thinking of retiring! | owenga
10/11/2017 09:13 | I still think people are getting over excited. This is only but the start. Come back in 5-10 years once all the business lines are mature. Until then calm down. COME OOOOOOON 165p!!!! :-D | sheep_herder
10/11/2017 09:10 | My retirement plans just foreshortened by 10 years :-D | tini5
10/11/2017 09:04 | grabster At least my faith has kept me alive!!! :-) But as I have posted several times technical analysis alone does not dictate my decisions. I shall be quite happy to buy back at 180p after today's news has been fully digested as opposed to speculating on 160p being a cheap price to buy after a placing at 140p. | aphrodites
10/11/2017 09:02 | How many MOVCD machines do they currently have? 40-60 new production machines is impressive expansion as they cost £2-3m each. | luxaeterna1
10/11/2017 09:01 | Aphrodite I assume the placing was 9.9% of the share capital because the directors only have authority to allot up to 10%. That would be the standard position. Now, if anyone wants to buy shares, they have to do so in the market. And with Stifel and Citi we have two US facing brokers. I will be delighted if the share price remains above 160 until lunchtime and amazed if it doesn't have a big leg up afterwards. | mad foetus
10/11/2017 08:58 | Ayl30 The fact that the placing has been made does not mean if the demand has been overwhelming the broker cannot go back to the company and suggest increasing it. | aphrodites
10/11/2017 08:57 | Agree, not personally a fan of charting and it can't acc for sort of high growth dynamic mkt IQE is n. All charting has to be based on past performance but when there is no history it's bunkum in my view. I hold as I believe we are in at the dawn of a new generation of wafer tech, that's why it's my biggest holding. It's a share where faith in it has to be determining factor | ayl30
10/11/2017 08:57 | Well, it could be the CItigroup note that's got us through 160p again but I think it's more likely the fact I topsliced 400. No need to thank me. | runthejoules
10/11/2017 08:56 | Oh dear Aphrodite - Your religious faith in EW is quaint, but in my view misguided. :-o If you sold into today's rise you cannot fail to have banked a profit - and that's great. But I think you will be kicking yourself soon. | grabster
10/11/2017 08:55 | Citigroup initiates coverage of IQE with BUY and 195p target. | someuwin
10/11/2017 08:52 | Trends, charts and theories are fine but they are all subservient to real events, facts, new investments and opportunities. Regardless of how many waves have come and gone, investors need to assess what is now a new situation. | verger
10/11/2017 08:50 | Aphrodite, ?. Read the rns, £95m raised | ayl30
10/11/2017 08:46 | This does of course give the shorts the opportunity to close their positions. It will be interesting to see if the placing is heavily oversubscribed and if the brokers take this opportunity to increase it. I have sold my entire holding this morning on the basis of this being the EW 5th wave move which more than likely will end the current sequence. The next move will be down and I feel this is a good time to take profits and sit back and wait for further news. | aphrodites
10/11/2017 08:23 | Interesting. I’ve higher following the 140p placing, must be some big news to come. Right I am off to buy more (VELA) & (BLU). My next two shining stars, still tiddlers but where the action is | ny boy
10/11/2017 08:23 | Eventually added to my holding this morning. Couldn't get a figure quoted in my early attempts! | kilgallp |
