09/4/2014 07:51 | Anyone got an officially confirmed date for the results? | cyberbub

09/4/2014 07:42 | With 2013 results plus Q1 2014 update due in a couple of weeks the only announcement I expect ahead of that is about water, if granted or denied ahead of the results. | ammons
09/4/2014 07:36 | No news yet again.Very puzzled as to the status of IO4. It will be getting rusty!Might we hover at 70p, or can the re-rating continue?Come on IOF, let's hear from you. An rns similar to the one I got from GVC today would do nicely! | festario

09/4/2014 03:40 | Well I sold all the stock I picked up in the 50s. Still got the core holding but off the back of a big fall and rise am happy to bank the trading profits. There is a lot of sentiment both good and bad here, could easily see 50p or 100p | briggs1209
09/4/2014 00:52 | Che7win, to be fair to you, I do indeed remember that you distinctly said that if the price goes lower, (even 35p or 40p), that you would sell everything and pile it all in to to IOF. It was around 50p when you said it. Along with SuperG, there was NOBODY as positive as you two at that moment, certainly not me, so I commend you on your fortitude. | festario
08/4/2014 22:23 | I wondered what made the Chile peso strengthen today, it looks set on the right track now to gain strength and squeeze the margins which allowed the lower prices. | superg1
08/4/2014 21:46 | Anyone who doesn't believe in the medium term potential of IOF has sold out and the remaining shareholders have read through the the short term production delays is the way I read it. | monty panesar
08/4/2014 21:40 | US patent application 20110110846 entitled 'Portable System for On-site Iodine Extraction from Aqueous Solution' has recently been granted as US Patent 8673143. This granted patent was published on 18.03.14 and names Charles Shneider (former Iofina Director) as inventor. I presume this is assigned to Iofina. The subject matter covers portable systems for absorption of iodine from oil well brines using activated carbon or ion exchange resin cartridges. This is NOT the Iosorb process as such and I presume corresponds to the 'old tech' portable WET-pods. Nonetheless, it is possible it may protect some aspects of technical features used in the Iosorb plants. | gadolinium
08/4/2014 19:52 | Cyber, I agree, £1 seems right as an immediate target, but £2 is only a forward P/E of 20 on next years expectations, that's more appropriate once we demonstrate consistent growth. Not that far away as I've said before, all the management have to do is prove that they are up to the task. Water on its own if we get it is worth 10s of millions. I bought maybe 15 times in the 70s, 80's, 90's this year and the price isn't even back to it yet. Another 50k below 51p. I couldn't believe how the market panicked on the false rumours, this business is the real deal and if we don't recognise that, someone else will. You might think I'm bonkers, but at 50p I was getting excited because I had committed to buy everything I could in the 40's, although it would have been reckless. A P/E of 20 is around 200p next year, I disagree with others who think we deserved to fall under 100p, I've never doubted the business. Some say a fair price is looking two years ahead, I'll look 1 year ahead. The bullishness comes now on the upswing, it's the opposite of the downswing. I've seen this many times before, so don't be surprised if the stock goes a lot higher than you expect, it's because the market is looking at the growth ahead and building it in to the current price. Iodine prices rising is a major factor to our future profit, also if Lance makes an appearance he is worth 10p immediately in my opinion. | che7win
08/4/2014 19:07 | Mr Big, IF confidence returns in the management AND production starts to ramp up AND the price of iodine returns to more sensible levels of 50 bucks plus, then I don't see why we couldn't be challenging the previous peaks of 200p+ within 12 months. Just my view anyway.NAI | cyberbub
08/4/2014 18:08 | Just catching up and noticed the comments on yellow stone earthquakes. Interestingly, according to my latest copy of 'Chemistry World' recent studies have shown that the steam plumes at Yellowstone are spewing out 60 tons of helium a year. A vast reserve having built up beneath the magma over hundreds of millions of years from the radioactive decay of thorium and uranium. Despite world demand for the gas commercial exploitation is not considered feasible, especially since it is in a protected national park. | gadolinium
08/4/2014 18:01 | I think you will find I said before that Chris pushed the expansion too fast And the company paid the price , I have shorted this in the past but the price is right now to move forward - over £2 was over valued . Chris is a big company manager but it would be churlish to over look how far the company has come ! | mister big
08/4/2014 17:55 | I'd be worried for my investment bocker01 if I thought the carnage was caused by opportunistic short sellers. Your further comment is probably more accurate : "The only question is over how soon the market becomes convinced that this business can deliver." | uppompeii
08/4/2014 16:50 | sportbilly1976, sorry just returned to the screen, been painting all day, and i hate painting. Can't get the Mrs to do it for me though. | noli
08/4/2014 16:28 | Boggle Industrial use and the like only, costs were said to be about 20 cents pb for cold. | superg1
08/4/2014 16:27 | It's interesting this rise although impressive leaves back where the price was two weeks ago ! Got very oversold - I expect this to trade around a £1 and will then stop there pending updates on production and water - that's fair value given what we know . | mister big
08/4/2014 16:24 | You seem to be somewhat negative these past 2/3 days Boggle | malachey
08/4/2014 16:19 | Little thought regarding the water permit. Is the water pumped out of the missouri as is, or will it require filtration for eg industrial usage or purification for drinking water? I only ask because the more the water has to be processed the higher the operating costs will be per barrel. | bogg1e
08/4/2014 16:14 | I wold expect a pause around the 80p level che7win (if for no other reason than it did on the way down), but 100p looks a good short/medium term target. After that it is the virtual gap back to 160p | sportbilly1976 |
