Good RNS, but doesn't sound like a company expecting very much growth.

would be nice to have a broker note or two recommending 'buy' today!

Well done IOF BOD (Lance)

Beer - that's not the review. We will get that with the year end results, I suspect. Although we may still have to wait until the 6th June - not much more than a month away. Be patient fella :)

So after all that time the review is close IO1#.

That is disappointing - no mention of Mobiles or increasing plants.

Great news about production. IO1 was always only a proof of concept and brines were being trucked in rather than piped in. Add to this its geography and its not surprising they have decided to closed it.

Good RNS. Well done to the BOD, steering the company in the right direction.

Finals on the 12/5/15.

Remember this from the previous RNS...
"Furthermore, the Board expects overall Revenue in 2014 to be over 35% higher than 2013 Revenue, in a year when iodine prices fell more sharply than expected. Iofina's specialty chemical derivatives producer, Iofina Chemical, continues to be a market-leader and the Board remains highly encouraged by its performance."

These next couple of months are going to be exciting :)

dcgray - I think it means the court wants to get this case off its books and has enough info to make a decision, nothing more. Don't assume it means that the decision is favourable, until the ruling is released.

See 120 plus.

AND, I'm glad the logic stacked up re io1. It seemed obvious to me that if they shut it down then opex would drop. I wonder if they will now shift it to another location if the figures stack up.

io1 only ever hit 1 mt per week as water is trucked in from areas of lower ppm than Oklahoma. Regardless of that if the next plant to go in does 150mt then they will be under $20 per kg costs I suspect. However I think any new plants will be like io2 which has a yield rate well over 150 when it gets consistent brine rates.

Even though the rns is short and sweet, I have still read it 3 times to make sure there is nothing to work through.

The only line needing some work imo is "examiner denied the objector's request for an additional hearing with respect to discovery"

I'm curious to know what that means, but it rather proves Carlisle's motive is just disruption, which explains his lies.

Typically too me that type of request is a but, but, but....... court event where the HE has told him to be quiet.

So much for the reduced drilling equating to lower production as spouted by some.

Don't forget that quarter is when they get the lowest yield percentages due to the cold weather, and this quarter is typically one of the best.

128 mt more or less, so 92 to go to hit the low end target. If March has been a record month, all things being equal, April will see a higher production rate, with May potentially taking us past 220mt.

Nice to see the year end results are out within weeks, I'm expecting those to be good too.

Good news on reaching the production targets and I'm happy to close down below-par IOF 1 and sheperd resources, but I would caution against excessive optimism - language is rather careful and there's a warning flag here as well "long-term growth with a vision to be a lower quartile cost iodine producer" - that's a significant admission that costs can't be pared down much more and it's a "vision" i.e. currently they aren't even lower quartile...

Does this bode well for the water hearing outcome ?"Additionally, and separately, The Department of Natural Resources and Conservation ("DNRC") examiner denied the objector's request for an additional hearing with respect to discovery."

Record quarter, record month in March, production target maintained and not cut,low producing (due to low availability of trucked brine) plant being closed presumably reducing costs and having little impact on output, whats not to like?

Must admit, I never liked the idea of shutting down IO1, just to reduce costs per kg, assuming it was profitable. From this rns, it seems like a properly considered decision, for better reasons than just cutting average production costs.

Happy with that.

And we have official notice of a date for final results.

The turnaround has truly begun imo, dyor etc etc
