18/5/2023 21:25 | I'm not really sure what Sunak and his Cronies are doing. Labour are 5-1 on to win next election and they have alienated their voters with extra Taxes that I doubt even Labour would have enforced. | isis
18/5/2023 19:50 | This is true and lucky only a billion loss | lennonsalive
18/5/2023 18:10 | As for not volatile! lol FTSE stocks up and down 5/10 percent in a day quite often!! | isis
18/5/2023 17:48 | 5% fixed rate bonds are available now, not much point risking your cash for a divi. Only stocks worth a punt are penny shares now imho. | encarter
18/5/2023 16:20 | Then the Government in it's wisdom is making it even worse by curtailing CGT limits to almost nothing. They certainly aren't encouraging Investors but turning them to the much more dangerous SB sites. Crazy!! | isis
18/5/2023 16:13 | Nearly all the trades are Algorithm's and Bot's - so who exactly is trading? | isis
18/5/2023 16:11 | Investor, sometimes trader. Nearly every stock recently has been marked down on results regardless if good or bad. Total manipulation. When you say you are a trader - do you mean Spreadbetter? | isis
18/5/2023 16:07 | You've traded shares all your life but tell people to steer clear because of volatility. As a Trader, the thing you want is volatility as if gives you opportunities. The last thing you want is a stable market, as a Trader. I've been doing this over 20 years and I'd say at the moment is pretty tame and boring. | liam1om
18/5/2023 16:04 | I don't think Retail Investors play much of a part in the markets these days. The volatility is enough to put anyone off. I think Hedge Funds, Bots and next door's Cat find the UK markets easy to manipulate. Having traded shares and invested all my working life I now advise people to steer clear because of the volatility and manipulation. Just now worth the hassle. | isis
18/5/2023 15:58 | careful, Huge proportion of volume is done at close of business. UT trades usually account for more than the entire days trading then some after market trades reported on top. Expect a 1m+ figure at 16:35 NMRN | not my real name
18/5/2023 15:52 | 1.3 million shares traded out of a total of about 950m. Such light volume, hardly any being sold, and yet price falls by 7%. Don't exactly know how these price are fixed. Can't trust these markets. Maybe with a safe 4% on offer from deposits, risk free, no one is interested in shares anymore. | careful
18/5/2023 15:23 | I think part of it is down to anything gls made, which was also down, was effectively wiped away by rm. It were a smart move to group rm + parcel force together as they won't need to scratch their heads on how to separate them. In the meantime, we await the vote with baited breath. | casholaa
18/5/2023 14:57 | Can't believe the drop today. What were these sellers expecting from todays results? Dan Kretinski must be licking his lips looking at the share price. Expect a rise in the next few days and an increase in his holdings RNS to follow. Good luck to all holders, NMRN | not my real name
18/5/2023 11:26 | Cashola, there's never ever going to be a shortage of useless over paid talking heads! :¬) | lefrene
18/5/2023 11:17 | The Government knows it's being ditched, the self-serving rats are scrambling for media and social-media positions | casholaa
18/5/2023 11:12 | careful, indeed if it were actually run as a real business it could be highly profitable. Alas, whilst it remains a politically hampered extension of government policy the Royal Mail side of things will continue to be concrete wellies. Ditch RM and IDS would rise sharply. Indeed, ditch 95% of government and the country would rise sharply. | lefrene
18/5/2023 10:45 | Royal Mail (1,044) 250 (517.6)% It's a flaming leech! Just gift it to the cwu or flog it for £1. They should reduce the amount of posties or do something. | casholaa
18/5/2023 08:38 | Not too bad all considered. the turnover of £12bn held up well. debt is at £1500m which is higher but still very low. Impairment charge of £539m makes results look worse that they are. If this business could be run properly, it would be very valuable. hold, hope, wait. | careful
18/5/2023 08:31 | A 5% drop in revenue but still higher than 2020. | slopsjon2
18/5/2023 08:20 | Ridiculous over reaction to fully expected results. NMRN | not my real name
18/5/2023 08:08 | Nothing anyone on here on a regular basis didn't expect surely? GLS is the bright light and the UK side of things needs to build again from a really low base after all the IA related issues of the past year. It can be done and once the ballot is over and fingers crossed accepted we can then move forward. It's this time next year that will determine the future of this company as if it's not showing good signs of recovery then in the UK then it's never going to and the break up will be pushed I think. Hopefully not though and good luck all holders 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
18/5/2023 08:02 | It sure is. | pander45
18/5/2023 07:58 | Heading for all time lows. | encarter
18/5/2023 07:46 | All I read loss & loss lol | blackhorse23 |
