I find it unbelievable that we have to wait for an announcement from the Chancellor about financial aid for businesses until 7pm !

What is this government thinking .

ham ham: “ assume companies like L3? will be very busy offering flight simulation to pilots over the coming months. There are rules I believe if you have large gaps between flights?”

BA does all of its sim training in house. Virgin rent BA simulators. Everyone else is going to go bust so it’s irrelevant whose sims they would theoretically rent if they carry on flying.

Good old Moodys saying IAG review for downgrade. They are late to the party again just like 2008.

EU (inc UK for now) may let banks help customers with loans I possibly heard, and the loans don't need to go on the banks books as their liabilities. If that was the case, that would help a lot out, but was only a rumour.

logan.....sky news interviewed an insurer who said that people would not be covered , unless they had a specific clause regarding pandemics in their policy !!!
Said UK Gov may have to pick up the cost.

If it becomes mandatory travel ban then the insurance companies have to pick up the bill, however as it stands, if people ignore the advice of the government and they get into trouble then it is up to the person concerned to pick up the bill.

Holidaying in the UK. Works well for those of us with a campervan or motorhome - we can remain self-isolated while still travelling around. A few more people will be buying or hiring.

A big part of ITV’s revenue comes from advertising. Travel companies have stopped marketing while covid-19 impacts the whole planet. It’s also a problem for ITV’s sports coverage with the Six Nations being postponed and so further impacting advertising revenue. I could go on...

That went out the window a lot with hundreds of channels broadcasting and catch up tv.

ham....I think you may be right but advertisers love a captive audience .

M1. Maybe coz ITV relies on advertising (and who wants to advertise what in this climate?) and others are subscription, almost utility, so less likely to cancel the internet and pleasure viewing???

ham...strangely, ITV shares have dropped substantially ( I know others have also ).
I would have thought that if people are stuck at home, they will be watching a lot more TV. Find it odd that their shares have dropped so much.

I would also have thought that Netflix will be doing well out of this.

You would think broadband providers and subscription tv companies would be doing well if everyone is going to be at home for the foreseeable?
Said in a not share promoting tone ;)
