16/3/2020 22:43 | Government will make announcement tomorrow to support airlines. | ![]() careful
16/3/2020 22:37 | I own the ftse index fund, so I do down shares in theory. I guess I'm allowed to post now. I haven't seen Boris guarantee the liabilities of companies, Macaron did it today. Even Trump has said he would save the airlines. But all this will be done when shareholder value has been destroyed. History always repeats itself. | waikenchan
16/3/2020 22:10 | WOW waikenchan 49 posts in 10 years... clearly someone everyone needs to listen to, can’t wait for your next post.... | toon1966
16/3/2020 21:40 | waikenchan....you obviously don't read the news. Oh and you don't own any IAG shares ! | ![]() m1k3y1
16/3/2020 21:27 | Isn't this the natural course of a company in distress - no cash flow - still have to service debts - company in distress - now viewed as a credit risk - credit downgrade - have to pay higher rate for finance - compounding interest is a vicious cycle (I have not seen the mention of airline rescue / bailout as of yet). It not as if we have not known about this. I think we all forget that airlines are Cyclical stocks,ie they crash when the credit cycle is over. This cycle will be deleveraving hard once confidence evaporates. If you can't see this unfolding, that's too bad. | waikenchan
16/3/2020 21:24 | Smithy......thanks. I have had the latest about crew restrictions overseas and note that there are still some 'gateway' flights to the USA. Singapore & Hong Kong still available I think. | ![]() m1k3y1
16/3/2020 21:10 | Imperial College predict 250,000 deaths after analysing the latest uk data. Cannot be stopped irrespective of policy options. Scary. Market could fall to 2500. fuse | ![]() careful
16/3/2020 21:02 | sr2.....just the sort of comment I would expect judging from your posts on other BB's. Filtered. | ![]() m1k3y1
16/3/2020 20:58 | Thanks Smithy...IAG have a substantial cargo operation that is very profitable and will continue to operate during this crisis. There appears to be no bans on cargo flights. | ![]() m1k3y1
16/3/2020 20:57 | mik,i am afraid you whine too much and do not take heed.i am beginning to think you are just a windup merchant and not even invested here.by the way Trump has got nothing to do with Iag.take a break. | ![]() sr2day
16/3/2020 20:48 | A couple of news articles relevant to IAG: Airline is picking up more cargo. WW comments that if it were not for airspace closure and passenger bans, demand would support much higher flying rates. Cargo prices have shot up massively due to the lack of passenger flights with spare hold capacity. Also, JIT requirement has increased due to disrupted supply chains, further increasing demand. hxxps://www.flightgl Also, employment costs will be reviewed in days, not weeks. All areas of BA have been notified of potential redundancy action if wage reduction measures are not negotiated with the workforce. Virgin have committed to 8 weeks unpaid spread over the next 6 months. hxxps://ukaviation.n | ![]() smithys2019
16/3/2020 20:33 | it might be more helpful. If you don't own any IAG shares, you really aren't helping anyone or anything. | ![]() m1k3y1
16/3/2020 20:31 | 99.9% of all written or spoken makes no difference. We are just airing our thoughts at these interesting times. That is all, no purpose. We could just as well talk about the weather. | ![]() careful
16/3/2020 20:27 | if nothing written on this thread will make any difference ......why write it ? sr2.......gloating and saying I told you so.....doesn't help anything. 'too late mate to rely on a bail out'.......not according to Trump. | ![]() m1k3y1
16/3/2020 20:24 | if only people had taken heed of others warning to be careful when the share price was above 600 pence a month ago. now they are fretting.too late mate to rely on bail out. | ![]() sr2day
16/3/2020 20:23 | Everyone holding shares will be worried about their wealth. 'Scaring people into selling' All of us who did not dump the lot in recent weeks will be full of remorse. We have to judge how low this market will go. Many investors will have only known the bull run since March 2009. A shock to the system, they will be losing sleep or even becoming ill. Add to that many will be scared about their jobs. Nothing written on this thread will make any difference. | ![]() careful

16/3/2020 20:15 | waikenchan.......not helpful. What are you trying to achieve by posts such as this ? You don't own any IAG stock , so are you trying to scare people who do, into selling their shareholding ? | ![]() m1k3y1
16/3/2020 20:10 | Wait till the downgrades start happening. Currently IAG is baa3 - once notch above junk bond status. | waikenchan
16/3/2020 20:09 | So many industries will be damaged by this panic. 'It is not their fault' applies to all, not only airlines. | ![]() careful
