19/2/2020 21:43 | Evening Standard Business "Comment" very bullish on Qatar Airways stake increase in IAG, suggesting that Investors should also get on board. They say IAG is returning about 3 times its cost of capital, and that you have what looks like a serious bargain. We will just have to see over the coming months how things progress under the new CEO and future strategic changes he may possibly make helped by the recovery from the China virus impact. The markets will look to the future once we have moved beyond the F/Y results in less than a week, and hopefully some good and favourable guidance. | ![]() cyberian

18/2/2020 11:16 | It's a shame you lose 19% on the Spanish withholding tax. | ![]() montyhedge
18/2/2020 11:12 | Personally think a raised dividend to yield around 5% without any special maybe seen as a better course for future stability and growth...last years special cost nearly Euro 700 million and that retention would protect and enhance expectations for the future. I could be wrong but expect the new CEO with all his experience to take up the reigns from Walsh who has done an excellent job...let's wish them well. | ![]() cyberian
18/2/2020 09:40 | Must admit amazed holding above 600p, perhaps the market expecting special div again with figures.Think they will be disappointed this year. It will be the normal dividend minus the spanish 19% withholding tax. | ![]() montyhedge
17/2/2020 23:37 | “More than 80% of patients have mild disease and will recover, 14% have severe disease including pneumonia and shortness of breath, 5% have critical disease including respiratory failure, septic shock and multi-organ failure, and 2% of cases are fatal,” Tedros said in Geneva. “The risk of death increases the older you are.” | elpirata
15/2/2020 13:31 | I think that with other carriers struggling and some failing, IAG will be well placed to pick up the pieces. In addition they will benefit from the synergy savings and profits due from the integration of Air Europa this year. | ![]() m1k3y1
15/2/2020 13:18 | Extreme bad weather and China virus issue must be having an adverse effect on BA/IAG limiting traffic/load factors over last few weeks, and going forward. Subdued oil prices and reasonably firm pound may be helping to mitigate costs, and Y/E results should have been OK. However, IAG may wish to take some hits on the data fine last year, and the effect of the pilots strike is likely to have had a marginal negative cost, but all this maybe in the current share price | ![]() cyberian

14/2/2020 10:01 | spacedust13 Feb '20 - 10:46 - 12938 of 12950 What a call yesterday. The markets will severely tank for the foreseeable future. Especially big comoanies. Banks miners and airlines to clear the brunt of it. Going immensely short on IAG. Another one getting toasted, this is a shorters graveyard pre results | elpirata
14/2/2020 09:51 | I agreed with the tanking estimate. Given the surprise reverse this morning, especially on the back of increase virus numbers yesterday. . Unless this monster spreads to a global issue, we may have it burnt into our numbers already. | ![]() wilc42
