Monday will be key - virus deaths will keep piling up and if the Chinese stock market re-opens it will be chaos, my hunch is that the Chinese authorities will keep them closed. As for Armageddon just wait to see it spreading in India or South Africa. Then that will be truly Armageddon.

Virus in UK could affect share price either way. Panic - or a realisation, when (if) life goes on as normal here, that this virus is not going to cause armageddon. Initial share price reaction suggests news partly already included.

510p? its more like the stock price halving in price and more. It will be a bloodbath everywhere with the airlines and cruise-liners getting the biggest hits.

It will be something we've never seen before (and that's typical of the markets!) and I have a bad feeling about all what's happening!

If the Chinese stock market re-opens on Monday and the deaths keep piling up it won't be pretty.

It is not about exposure to the Far East. The virus could easily spread to Europe - if that happens most airlines will cut flying to the bare minimum. There would be draconian measures taken like we've never seen before.

Assume the next set of load factors due early next month already taken as being impacted...this suggests that the market accepts this reality and that all will recover once the Chinese virus issue is resolved. Also people have seen/taken into account the global deaths from ordinary flu, which happen every year, and are pretty high. Whatever, still a nasty problem and hope resolved asap.
