It's all about opinions, just opinions, spin a coin folks and take yer chance..
Sold at £6 on Iranian general assassination, oil rises and Walsh retiring - cue hefty rise. Got to smile, still made a bit from £4.60 average though.

Does not last long over 600p this shareprice it seems, with flight shaming, Brexit no deal worries, currency, fuel costs, etc, sentiment in airline stocks, I feel is weak 550p my target.

Great to see the Tories backing the regions. After all 2,400 jobs were at risk. Connectivity is vital. About time I say. Duty should be axed for regional flights.

I see back to 575p. This never last above 600p for long, once the bears get stuck in.

Brexit worries will creep back in on a no deal, after we leave on the 31st Jan, Boris says a deal within a year, EU saying impossible.

Walsh fuming about gov helping saving Flybe, when Virgin is a big shareholder.

There is a good comment on this article from a reader;

"The Treasury Select Committee should be looking into HMRC deferring collection of £106m of APD. Remember that passengers have paid over the APD already, it’s not FlyBe’s to keep or Mrs Leadsom’s to gamble with.
HMRC’s remit is collecting tax not propping up failing businesses, even ones that provide regional employment. Using what powers exactly have HMRC done this? Their ‘care and management’ power? So what guarantees, or even prospects, are there that the money will ever be paid?
I expect the owners and former employees of other businesses that have been bankrupted by HMRC over unpaid VAT or PAYE will be seeking answers to there questions. Come on Mel Stride MP, get your Committee on the field on this one"

The Times

Now we know who BoJo’s governing for: Sir Richard Branson. And what better cause than him? The man from Necker Island’s only worth £4 billion. Plus his chums, of course, from Delta Air Lines: the US carrier valued at a mere $38 billion.

The duo own Virgin Atlantic: one of a trio of investors daft enough to have bought Flybe last year. The other two? Cyrus Capital, a hedge fund managing $4.4 billion of assets. And Stobart Group, a relative tiddler but still valued at £400 million. So, not obvious candidates for a government rescue — not least from a Tory regime that let Monarch and Thomas Cook go bust

Gov gives in to people power, I would be amazed if long haul tax does not go up again in the budget.

I reckon passenger tax on long haul will go up, to calm down climate protesters and U.K. short haul will be cut favouring Flybe.

How Flybe got away with this is incredible, their shareholders are big, Virgin etc. They can afford it.Willie Walsh not happy. Misuse of public funds, climate protestors saying.
