As of Tuesday, nearly 300 people had been diagnosed globally, with all but a handful in China, and most of them in Wuhan, a city of 11 million people. This has sent jitters among travelers as hundreds of millions of Chinese are prepare to travel for the Lunar New Year holiday this week.

The holiday is traditionally a high season for tourism and retail industries in China and overseas, but confirmation from health authorities that the virus spreads through human contact and calls for heightened vigilance is prompting concerns that many will opt to stay home during the week-long holiday.

The travel booking platforms said that Chinese civil aviation and railway authorities had still to set a special cancellation policy, but that they would try to meet the needs of customers wanting to cancel their trips.

No more random guesses on share price movement from MontyFool....what a surprise. Predicted anything from 585 to 700 in a matter of days.....keep on guessing and who knows you may get something right someday MF. Classic comment on day following US attack on Iranian General....."Get out of Airlines and into Oil". Perhaps keep the uniformed guesses to yourself and stop making a fool out of yourself.

Does it suggest further consolidation, QIA already a very big holder, likely target for Mid Eastern alliance!

What I don't understand though is ......if the majority of shares (in the UK at least) are held and traded in Nominee accounts, how do the IAG registrars know whether they are EU or Non EU owned ?

elpirata...I agree.
No idea where it came from or why to be honest.
Glad they have released the CAP and just hope that it isn't re-instated.
