Get a grip. Should just be for those that really need it. Not for every man and his dog.It would also send a strong signal. After all. Tis mankind's greatest threat.

Omg. You live a sheltered life. Of course that is the quest, but not all life runs smoothly. At times unemployment, illness or bereavement can place pressures in families not foreseen, thus help is needed and this can come in the form of Govt assistance.

Tend to agree, and see how the new CEO takes IAG forward...I think he is pretty good and worthy successor....safe hands, and being a true European may help?

There won't be a special dividend this year. That was a one off.585p my target when Brexit trade deal talks kicks off, causing uncertainty for airlines.

Simply WS comment yesterday did not help, but their argument over debt a bit stretched in my opinion as the debt profile has been the same for some time. On the EU I thought Boris Johnson BBC interview this morning was again all waffle...really bumbling responses. All these promises and OK with WT terms if need arises...you have to ask what has the membership done to really hold us back in the UK with key domestic issues....nothing in my view...just an excuse. Anyway, the voters decided and will just have to wait and see if the net effect of leaving would have been worth it...I have my doubts. It was good to trade the 600p to 670p run last week and will be tempted back in as final year results should be OK and a decent dividend...not sure about a special but some will hope.

Still not a deal on Brexit, I know we leave 31st January, Johnson saying trade deal this year, EU saying no way.So no deal back on, airline shares uncertainty back on. That's my thoughts.

I'm continuing to hold on the basis of 6 weeks to prelims & dividend announcement, not worth the risk of selling now on the assumption it might go sub £6 to buy back cheaper in the interim
