Classic Montyhedge 18 Jul '18 - 21:35 - 3643 of 3844 "Going by Easy Jet who have benefitted from Monarch going under and less competition, IAG will have record profits and revenue, also hoping for a bumper dividend, 840p my target giving a forecast p.e around 9 is my view."

So what happened to the 840p target price?

Could not resist 713p, just in case, slight disappointment Friday. Had the divi as well. Leave something for the next man.

Looking like it'll be a fairly high volume day. Nice (assuming it finishes 2-3% up).

I woz convinced we would be nearer 705 to 710 by Friday, I'm so relieved we are at present. Does anyone know when the results/update is expected to be released on Friday. i.e. before market opens, during trading or after hours please?

Lets hope it does not spook the markets, because the good, bad and ugly all get hit together. 90% chance rate rise to 0.75%

Fingers crossed rates do go up.IAG and LLOY bot reporting this week. Could both benefit from a higher pound.

All for the greater good though. Low rates/easy credit a disaster. Really need some normality again.

I would say 90% chance interest rate goes up to 0.75%. Good news and possible bad, spook the markets, consumer stocks may get hit as customers tighten their belts to pay higher mortgage and loan rates.

Was chatting to an fx guy this morning Monty. He was of the opinion that it was 50/50 on Thursday. Im inclined to agree.Carney hates putting rates up.Remember its been hot of late so shopper footfall is likely to be low.He only needs half an excuse.Pound might plummet again if no rise so very mixed markets.Imo, the market should very much welcome a rate rise (probably spit its dummy out though).A rate rise would be good for IAG so fingers crossed.

Good point chief, I will probably put a stop loss in if we are over 705 ....I really am expecting very good news but like you said the market might already be factoring this in to the share price if it's 720 leading upto Friday's results ....

720 the night before results. 4% rise on the day. 750 finish lol.Or, 720p the night before. 4% fall on the day. 690p finish.Might as well be a coin toss the way the market works on results day.
