Read a piece on Ryanair. They say (again!) that given the oil price rises, some European airlines could be in trouble this winter, leading to more consolidation (everyone knows this is inevitable) in the sector.Nobody will be taking over RYN (or IAG) as it'll inevitably be the big boys hoovering up.If the price of oil continues to rise then the Norwegian issue will soon be back to the fore.

Meanwhile almost no drop in the Norwegian share price
Walsh needs to buy it, or offload it. Holding isn't helping.

The MM's are using the RYA opportunity to drive down airline shares. No doubt they will then go long , before they reverse the 2% drop ! Having taken advantage of the short first of course !
Monday mornings, always down. you can hang your hat on it

Ryanair hit by pilot strikes, seems unfair IAG been tarred with the same brush as that airline. All IAG can do is let the figures do the talking, 3rd August we will know.

I must say that I am finding it difficult to see how shares in general will find a reason to improve, the closer we get to March 29th .
Until there is certainty over what is going to happen, there appears to be more of an argument for shares to sit and wait, or to slowly tick lower.
Companies will be unable to proceed with growth strategies , until they have certainty around what is, or is not going to happen on march 29th.

The closer we get to the decision date, with no decision, the less risk companies and investors will be prepared to tale.

Having said that, I am long on IAG and see positive returns going forwards, I just do not see any argument for big improvements in the share price until we have certainty around Brexit. One way or the other.

Seems Airlines one of the most hated sectors, can't understand why IAG on a p.e less than half of what EasyJet and Ryanair are trading at. Hopefully re-rating on the 3rd August.

Ryanair figures good, the Ryanair pilot strike good for other carriers, as customers re-book. Must admit I would not fly with them even if they paid me.
