MyID® PIV Leaps Out of the Starting Gate to Become the First Smart Card and Identity Management System Supporting FIPS 201 PIV II Certified Smart Cards

With the support of FIPS 201 PIV II certified smart cards and biometric technologies from multiple vendors that support ANSI/INCITS 378 templates, MyID® PIV is the first smart card and identity management system that enables US Federal Government Agencies and systems integrators to issue and manage PIV ID badges according to the processes defined by FIPS 201, parts 1 and 2.

Lutterworth, United Kingdom - April 26, 2006 - Intercede Ltd., a market leader in smart card identity management systems, today, announced that its FIPS 201 product, "MyID® PIV", supports both Oberthur Card Systems' recently released FIPS 201 PIV II certified smart cards and biometric technologies from multiple vendors that comply with the ANSI/INCITS 378 Data Interchange Format for Finger Minutiae.

Intercede's MyID PIV is a comprehensive smart card and identity management system designed to help US Federal Government agencies and their contractors meet HSPD-12 mandates. MyID PIV provides a comprehensive management platform offering a single line of authority to fully support and enforce the end-to-end policy, process, practice and technology stipulated by FIPS 201, Parts 1 and 2.

On April 20, 2006, Oberthur Card Systems' announced the certification of its new PIV II Smart Card, the first PIV II compliant dual-interface card available to the government market today. Intercede's MyID PIV enables both partners and end-user agencies to quickly register, identityproof, issue and maintain PIV ID's based on Oberthur's PIV II certified smart cards.

"Intercede strives to be at the forefront of identity management interoperability and we are extremely happy to be the first smart card and identity management systems provider to announce interoperability with the first FIPS 201 PIV II certified smart cards available," said Richard Parris, Chairman and CEO of Intercede. "The additional inclusion of support for biometric technologies from multiple vendors provides our customers with proven and authoritative biometric processes."

this is an add on weakness and hold...the recent news will underpin any
big rises for now...but one to watch after results.

I'm looking to add but have no funds as yet..waiting for others to make a bit more before I am willing to sell them and buy here further.

Igoe,

The Government has an agenda on smartcards. And Multefile via ITSO & Multos biometrics already lies at the heart of one UK Government multi-application interoperable smart card standard - and its backed by the Royal Bank of Scotland, Certified by the French & the Civil Aviation authorities ;0)

smart cards alone this company, will be £1 within 18 months, (at least).
but if you start including national id cards, uk, and its possible that eu, and usa, could be useing the same model as well, this share price could hit at least £10 or higher within 4-5 years, (always a chance with a company with such a low cap.)

Posts 89/90 show where some of that £3m profit projection for 2008 is coming from and underpins the prospects and valuation, IMO. It doesn't get much clearer than that:

SY - the long-term prospects for the share price have actually improved by about 25%, commensurate with the fall in share price and increased expectations for this year (due to the deferrment of license revenues paid in January)... ;0)
