Penny,

I'm a bit surprised. The Megan's Game site layout looks very similar to the Manifest site when scrolling down.

TD plans to float City Fiction on AIM?

I disagree, we are all becoming culture monkeys. The america documentary will also sell well, we are not all stiff upper lip private school conservatives.

Biopics will aways sell well, if the cast is good.

As for intandem, with Second Origin complete and Phoenix planned for september shoot they will make good profits in financial year June 2014 - June 2015.

It could be a fantastic year if one or two other 10$ million budget films go into production.

I have mentioned before I don't think Reagan is a great 'asset' to be selling. It will be a lot of hard work for little reward. They have the 'hospital pass' for the International market. A bit like trying to sell a Putin film idea in Hollywood right now I imagine.

The Megan's Game production video is good though. Passionate director and the book has been well adapted for the big screen.

No news on cast yet but i believe TD plans to float City Fiction ltd.

I did ask and it is not a Bold Ink client site.

I think the new Megan's Game website is a Bold Ink production.

I assume you are talking about raising cash for films. I don't think that has anything to do with the AIM market.

To raise money they need cast + director and possibly proof of concept video in case of a VFX film. And contracted pre-sales. At that point, especially with secured pre-sales, risk is low and financers will back the film.

Reagan is a good example, as too is Catweazle, the Chinese Busker, Starbright and Evil Nature.

I believe one or two of those are already fully financed.

Don't doubt anything you say or your belief in the Company and the New Management. I just think given the poor AIM market they are going to have a tough time convincing anyone without delivery up front. Unfortunately that is a chicken and egg situation.

Andy and Billy are great, very friendly guys who know a lot of people in the industry.

They know the trade magazines well (both worked for magazines in the past) and produced targetd marketing campaigns for screenings and were also sending out targeted email campaigns in Cannes.

They are certainly not good looking, flashy sales guys but very knowledgable and extremely experienced. They also know their film slate inside out and have good sales pitches.

Top dog has a good script and is hard hitting. Oddly, it lacked colour, very grey lighting throughout the film (not sure if this was on purpose or due to low budget). it coild just be british weather lol. It is a niche film that will be well received by young die hard footy fans and action film lovers that are looking for fight scenes and hard nosed violence. Clearly it was made for dvd and VoD. A bigger budget and it could have been very speical indeed.

Penny,

How was lunch with Andy and Billy? Did you leave there feeling better about the team and your investment after meeting them? Sometimes views can change (improve) after you meet with someone.
Also how was the Top Dog screening?

Yorgi,

"I'm quite sure you are not stupid PSM :-) I remain optimistic that RM will turn IFM around and then we see a rising share price backed by clear evidence of growing revenues and becoming a profitable company."

We all have our dull moments. I am also optimistic. Clearly good profits will only come if $10-25 million budgets start to go into production.

Luckily one is in post-production - Second Origin. Big VFX film.

Others are :
Phoenix (september shoot),
Starbright (looks promising for 2014 shoot),
Megan's Game (aiming for Summer shoot),
Evil Nature (cracking cast, director and producer in place. Also major VFX studio on board),
Reagan (In development : John Voight, John Malkovich (in talks)
Gagarin (sold to Eone in uk)

If one more of these films (Gargarin excluded obviously) is completed in 2014 then we will see good profits in year 2014-2015.

The little films will add to the pot but on their own, will not be sufficent to hit profit impo.

Bold ink will also add to pot. As too will money raised on films.

CATWEAZLE could be the real game changer and there is always a chance that RM brings on more big films via contacts.
