Its even worse than they admit to though.

The admission document states they had £55k already committed to.
, add on 4 other existing clients with a 75% conversion rate and out of the £400k we had £220k at the date of the Admission doc in April 2021.

So in almost 12 months they have gained another £180k?

I have been invested in some real garbage in my time and even had a Company go bust on me. Bearing in mind that an ''appointment of administrators'' RNS gave no other detail at all, then I would like to announce that todays trading update from INSG is the worst Trading Update I have ever been invested in.

The only credit I can give them is that they appear to have been honest about how dire it actually is.

Free RNS interpretation Service-

Insig AI plc (AIM: INSG), the data science and machine learning solutions company serving the asset management industry, is pleased to announce that we have already been around the Market and Institutions with a begging bowl, confirmed by the share price action as insiders decided to Sell. We were extremely encouraged to note that whilst the Institutional Investors we approached were not prepared to throw more cash to us that we can burn and improve Director remuneration with and hand the Chairman even more signing up fees, They were receptive to us coming back in the near future once we actually have an operating Business they can base their lending criteria to. We would like to thank existing shareholders for allowing us to squander £6 million to date with no immediate prospect of any return to our shareholders.

There was always going to be a need for working capital. Just a question of how and when. Chairman might be happy to covert at 35p, but it doesnt mean others might not want sub 20p. BUT, he is trying to tell the wider financial community that this isnt a basket case (albeit with 12% of the float you would be very worried if he wasnt sending that message).

I think £2m equity raise mentioned in the RNS should see them to 2023 although the ramping up on sales and marketing is an admission that the software is not selling itself. Not to mention the sales rhetoric about future contracts being signed Q1 - which Carval apart - hasnt really happened.

I am tempted to nibble some once the £2m equity finding has been sorted, and if it is north of 23p, I'm happy to wait until then. But no point jumping in too early if it is deeply discounted.

It is trading on a very high multiple still and the share price could easily halve from here if it wasn't in such a potentially high growth space.

I don't think its as bad as you guys read it. A NED has provided some working capital... they sound like they will look to try and raise at a higher price, and there are a lot of green shoots in this funds programme and AI leads.

I cannot disagree as it makes for extremely sad reading.

Hopefully the future will change.

Going exactly as I expected here. The below is from the Dec 22nd RNS for half year results to 30/09/21;

“As expected, this impacted short term revenues, with during the period, core machine learning business generating revenues of £0.2 million. Since the start of our second half, in line with management expectations, we have already seen much improved revenue”

And today;

“Group revenue (unaudited) for FY-22 is expected to be not less than £1.8m comprising approximately £1.4m from the Group's legacy Sport In Schools business and £0.4m from Insig AI businesses.”

So H2 revenue was the same as H1 at just £200k… yet at 22/12 revenue was much improved?! Did they credit back the ‘much improved revenue’ since the Dec RNS?

Given the above the ‘forecastsR17; introduced this morning are worthless IMO.

The £1m convertible gives them approx 3 months of extra cash runway but they are still under the gun from an equity placing point of view, in the current climate I’d be amazed if they can raise a material amount given their cash burn and anaemic revenue growth to date.

They’ve burned through all that cash from the placing and earned only £400k from Insig
The vast majority of revenue (£1.4mill) is from the sports arm
🤦🏻🙈😩

Don't talk to me about "green." I get myself in so I must bother when referring to the weather and not climate change. 🤣

ESG is the most significant tax scam known to man. However, where there is muck, there's brass!

Some smark cookies attempted to impart wisdom on how ESG will play out. But unfortunately, the vast majority will not see it coming until it is too late.

Nico,I'd be interested to know how you arrived at "super cheap" and what you appear to be declaring fair valuation given there are no forecasts from the company for anyone of us to extrapolate value. We are all sticking a finger in the air to a degree.

Difficult to say for sure without more info but CarVal will be pretty much independent and run by the same people, however it possibly explains some delay here in INSG news. It's a good price. Carval were part of a bigger group in the past before becoming independent, and were nearly acquired a few years back - but the deal, which was for significantly less from memory, fell through. They have been pretty much up for (lucrative) acquisition ever since.
