Presumably the downtrend was the impact of Harbinger selling half their stake (and the market taking cover). These Interims may be the catalyst to turn the chart around.

Harbinger still have half their holding (near enough) and Legal and General have added to their holding.

Brewin dolphin now have upgraded from sell to buy in response to the current price.

They only got 630p ; they would have done better to have have sold in smaller lumps over the last few months .The price probably wouldn't have plunged any faster.

Harbinger mulling options for Inmarsat stake

The New York-based firm was responding to press speculation of a possible sale.

Harbinger confirms that it is reviewing its options, but that no decision has yet been taken as to any transaction by Harbinger involving the share capital of Inmarsat. There can be no certainty that any transaction by Harbinger involving the share capital of Inmarsat will be forthcoming. A further announcement will be made in due course if appropriate.

Nice that this story has surfaced again. M&A in vogue now rather more than the last time this was rumoured so might have legs.
