Placing already closed. Quickly and enthusiastically. This is a very positive development.

Obvious now why they had the capital markets day. I think this is a top up cash job until they get further down the road with Goliath and bring a partner in. Also reflects delayed Stereax revenues which they have flagged. Hopefully well supported

You recently suggested a significant raise and at a discount; neither has happened as this is small and at the bid price; not diluting more than is necessary.

Capital raise earlier than I expected. Anither bigger raise in 12 months I expect.

For a company (Ilika) that have just agreed their involvement in the UK’s largest next generation battery factory, have a key product that has achieved lithium-ion parity and have, as of last week, signed a collaboration agreement with an international £300B turnover group (Tata).. the traded volume is, quite frankly, pathetic..

I can only keep my money sleeping here for so long
Wakey, wakey PR team & sleepy directors

I notice that he called the cash inflow "revenue".
Revenue, in my book, is sales, or if you are a property company, then rents. Are grants revenue?
I'm no accountant and he might strictly be correct...but somewhat misleading imo.

Let's just say this is classic UK company competing in a global market with potentially world beating tech but limited funds and ambition. Then again there was ARM

To be a shareholder here you have to believe that the company is working on ground-breaking science, which is further advanced that any of the many, well-financed, international firms that are trying to do the same thing.

Maybe it is, and will make you a fortune.

Or maybe the directors are happy to keep applying for more grant money from Government quangos who have our cash to dole out and are run by people with comfortable jobs who are never asked about the success rate of their operations...because that's not the point.

I wish you luck.

The lack of confidence might be due to the fact that 10 years after floating on AIM the company has generated virtually no commercial revenue. I'm a believer but to date it's been a very poor investment

Seems positive news but share price only ticked up 0.5p?? Even on seemingly good news there's no confidence in the market for ILIKA for some reason that escapes me.

Looks like Goliath will be the chosen solid state battery for tata agratas in Somerset factory.
Probably take a big stake in Ilika at some point.

Interesting…

Latest Goliath collaborator, Agratas (Tata’s global battery business based in India and UK) is holding its first community events with local residents in Somerset, inviting everyone who lives locally to meet the team behind Britain’s biggest battery cell manufacturing facility.

Agratas joins the Goliath team. They obviously want to take a closer look at the technology. Maybe the perfect long term partner and investor, but early days

Goliath way behind my expectation. Can't see any OEM putting in serious cash for another 12 to 18 months. Some grant funding likely in the meanwhile but think shares will sadly drift further
