Well some people can see the potential it seems. Difficult to buy in any volume. I think the doubters might now believe that Goliath could be game changing for the company. Risky yes but the rewards could be significant

I agree that Stereax delay is relatively insignificant compared with the future potential that Cirtec offers, but the market usually reacts negatively to any delays etc. I hope they start to share more about Goliath as it is very difficult to benchmark

Rob. Feel you are on the right track here.
Trading update next week should read ok, but don’t share your views that Stereax revenue being pushed back is a negative. It’s well flagged, and blatantly obvious, that cells can’t be produced whilst the tooling is being transferred to Boston. The sample production was relatively small anyway, as were the revenues, prior to transfer. The important bit will be the new ability to scale quickly with Cirtec.
I think the announcement re Goliath achieving lithium ion equivalence will be made in a separate RNS in December. Could be a pivotal moment?

Ha unfortunately I'm not that close to the action. I do pay very close attention to what they and their competitors say in public and try and monitor what all the "experts" are saying wrt SSBs. I also think the Faraday and UKBIC are decent validators here. But it could be wishful thinking ... only time will tell

Rob, there are many stocks that will be 5 times their current value in five years time.

What makes you think Ilika could be one of them?

Are you privy to their cunning plan, or are you as clueless as the rest of us.

It's either intelligent prognosis based on deep and meaningful research...or it's self deluding wishful thinking.

Since the company give zero useful guidance on their scientific progress, I can only assume you are sleeping with their chief scientist.

Depends on what you are looking for. I have a large portfolio of mainly income stocks, a few medium risk assets that should generate income in due course and then a few risk conviction stocks which could be worth say 5x their value in 5 years or could well go bust. I view IKA as exactly the latter. Definitely not a st trading stock

Guys, shoot me down if you will but there’s only a few simple truths with stocks (I’ve been trading forex & stocks for over 20 years now and maintain a comfortable existence) one constant is..

Winners add to winners
Losers add to losers

If you had a shop full of stuff, half of which was popular & people bought regularly.. and half of your stock was unpopular & on sale, which stock would you buy more of? there are 52,800 listed companies to chose from today

Back up to a 12% instant loss (spread) just to invest in this mysterious company, I’ll stick to more liquid options where my stop gives me a 12% maximum risk

So should be a trading update soon. I expect they will say Stereax revenues will be delayed. But hopefully good news on Goliath re lithium equivalence and P1 prototyping

I fear calling it a coin toss might be overly optimistic.
There are several major companies working on this. Ilika's chance of succeeding against them cannot be said to be fifty-fifty.

Traditionally the stock market is a predictor of future performance (checks trend). As you say, who knows what will be announced here due to ilika’s consistently mirky comms.

The 24% of the UK’s private investment winners add to their winners, the 76% that ultimately lose will average down on their losers, hoping for a turnaround.

When & only when (if) this company puts out some transparent & positive comparative news for their Goliath solid state battery concept will I buy back in. Otherwise its a mere coin toss

Final equipment shipped to Cirtec for Stereax manufacturing. I expect they will announce reduced revenue expectations for Stereax due to delays and profit share model taking longer etc. That might cause short term selling but for me that only improves the risk reward balance
