Pretty much our only hope in next gen battery technology. Wonder if anyone in govt recognises that IKA is highly vulnerable to an overseas bid at todays silly valuation. This could be another ARM in the making ... lots of OEMs evaluating a bid IMHO

For all their faults IKA is at least trying to compete in next generation battery technology, an area dominated by Asian giants. UKBIC also flying the UK flag and deserve credit too. All too often UK companies fail to scale up promising technologies, let's hope IKA gets the right partner to prove you wrong

Agreed, probably undervalued by the market. Gigafactory’s cost billions & G effectively hedges their bets, reduces risk & cost. IKA need to keep hitting targets & provide regular news so the share price goes up & stays up. Confidence is building,, it just needs to hit the tipping point to get us near fair value

So Ferrari to launch its first EV in October. They need to be at the forefront of EV performance so they must be one of the companies evaluating Goliath ... just imagine if they decide to take a bet on it... small change for them would put a rocket booster under IKA. I think something like this will happen in H2 this year

Added a few to the pension pot. Big year ahead for IKA. I think Cirtec will look to buy the Stereax side of the business as medtech booms in the US and Agratas will take a significant stake in Goliath. Watch this space

Agree Stereax has been a very slow and painful journey towards commercialisation. And inevitably will get bogged down with FDA etc. But if the technology starts getting customer traction then I suspect Cirtec will consider a deal to fully acquire the Stereax IP rather than continue with the current deal. At some point IKA needs $$$ and splitting the business has to be considered

So new electric Jaguar in late 26 to have 430 mile range and 15 min charge to 200 miles. Pretty clear to me where that performance boost comes from. Just a question of when the IKA doorbell rings

As European auto OEMs continue to struggle and gigafactories get cancelled, the battery market is consolidating rapidly. Ninety per cent of the battery market is held by just nine Asian companies. Sooner or later IKA is going to have to partner with one of them. Agratas will be good start but a Korean, Chinese or Japanese partner essential

What participants on this site clearly don’t understand is the commercial tactics around its technology. In the trade it’s called the secret sauce. IKA know they have the best-in-class SSB technology.
So, IKA must first allow competitors to go sufficiently down the wrong road until they reach the point of no return. QS, and others, have now gone sufficiently down that road of no return. Which is why IKA can now elaborate a little more than before.
It’s been slow and frustrating, but the tactics are absolutely correct.

No one said SSBs were easy. IKA have struggled for years like everyone else but the last 18 months or so has seen great progress with Goliath. Can they scale remains the big question. I think they will get a partner soon to help answer that question
