Rogk showing your ignorance again. You really should do better research before posting such tripe.

Another issue nobody has yet mentioned is that Ilika's batteries need to be re-charged. The batterty might be small but the energy harvester surely has a much larger footprint. I've not seen Ilika talk about the energy harvesters. Why? Anybody?

Just having a browse this am & came across a Lura Health article (reasonable interesting in its own right).

However, they also referenced a Feb 2023 recall by Abbott of some 4m+ devices… The familiar story of the liquid electrolyte.

Jimmyann,
I’m flattered you think I can bring the price down. However, do note my precious post about the insti ‘get me out at 50p’ sell instruction

You don't sign exclusivity with a company without some form of commitment.

They are clearly, in this case, more than just a paid supplier.

Bemuses me why people so excited about the Cirtec ‘10 year arrangement’

it appears people haven’t visited the Cirtec website and understood they are no more than a paid supplier to further explore production viability and support with the (multi-year) medical approval process, and split profits with *if* production of the Stereax micro battery is deemed commercially viable vs. the competition.

How much of ilika’s grant money is being burnt via this arrangement has, as ever, not been confirmed.

(Poor) Rogk takes so much flak because he only predominantly posts negative comments. He knows it & probably gets his jollies from the exchanges…. (not here to judge)

Today is a watershed imo. The co achieved something they have been trying to get done for 5+ years. Even after the Jan mou was announced, based on prior missed deadlines/guidance etc there seemed a strong chance that the wheels would come off. They put this one in the hole & assuming Cirtec are competent, this could be enormous with little risk to ika.

Yes, there’s no upfront payment and there are questions over specific clauses, but big picture guys.

Totally relieved this has been finalised. After such a long wait & more than a few false starts, it’s great that something concrete in now in their stable. It validates Stereax, the company & may well help add credibility on the Goliath side.

Watershed baby…lap it up…

Lol, this twerp has been here yrs trying to damage the share price for IKA and therefore validate his terrible trading decisions here of the past. He used to chop and change gettin it wrong every time and having to delete his prior posts. I know you have lost a lot here Rogk or at least what you consider a lot, and it hurts you so much you are bitter and resent the company making progress as you will never profit from it. You are old and have nothing else to do, a sad life for sure. You have made your decision now to stay away from shares but cannot let it go you sad old git spending almost your entire life on here. Someone else said it - you are a saddo
I have made good money trading this, currently long from lower and I have tried giving you advice but you just can’t get it. If the market for these super tiny batteries is as big as IKA reckon, I think at this, cirtec will test the mkt and if they think they can make a mint, will swallow IKA up a few yrs down the line
Anyway, it’s not the tiny tech that interests me, there aren’t many companies you can invest in that have a solid state battery. The odds are stacked (no pun intended) but the reward is great.

concentrate - I agree there are likely to be some such commitments, but the lack of any comment in the RNS about safeguards is worrying. If they are there, how strong are they? We're never going to find out the full details of contracts, but I do think they need to reassure shareholders more than they have done.

That's absolutely fine, I'm just saying that if they desperately needed $5m now, I'm sure they could have signed a deal with advanced payments, but considerably worse earnout terms. So in a strange way I find that reassuring.

As it stands, we do not know the splits and percentages.

cocentrate this from Ilika final results under Section 172 Statement

Strategic decisions in the year
------------------------------
Reduce cash burn to avoid a fundraise in 2023.
------------------------------------------------
The Board undertook a business review and restructuring activity aligned to the Cirtec MoU.
An interim pay review for those staff below UK median wage reflecting the inflationary environment in the UK.

I don't disagree with a lot of that supernumerary

A profit share until its profitable lol.

However, they're not crazy, I imagine there are significant minimum tooling commitments or similar. Presumably there will be break clauses for lack of performance.

There may even be data sharing so Ilika can help scale/license production in other industries.

Stereax to medical companies seems to be the key avenue for revenue prior to Goliath, so they must see Cirtec as a viable route to market. The lack of upfront payments suggest that they were not just signing anything to keep up on the rent payments.

Looks like a stonking deal, but more for Cirtec than Ilika unfortunately.

No upfront payments, no moqs that one can see, no ongoing payments until they're in profit (and they're doing the accounting!), free manufacturing plant, Ilika retaining the tricky manufacturing elements, exclusivity in the main target market for Stereax for ten years, Ilika customer/prospect list.

It will be interesting to hear the commercial progress report in January, but they're clearly not expecting much if they haven't changed guidance.

Here we go Rogk the man full of doom and gloom. You don't own these shares!! Nothing Ilika does or will do is right for you. Only you could come with your rubbish comment.
This guy constantly prattles rubbish to bring the price down.

It's a profit share revenue model to begin with before moving to a licence etc. That will inevitably take a bit longer to achieve

Where did you get delayed revenue from?

@robert why would this delay revenue? Quite the opposite, it will bring it forward. Ilika have already announced they expect ramp up of sales in 2024, bringing revenue forward. All good 👍

This is a great deal. Even the aspect Of cirtec commercial teams working to further sell stereax is something to get excited about. That basically grows the sales team by multiples. With access to current customers of cirtec. 10 year licenses is huge commitment to the technology. Fantastic Co formation that ilikas solid state batteries work and are here to stay :)

I think this is a great deal for Ilika as it will enable them to focus their attention and resources on what they are good at. Equally they won't waste precious cash on what they are not good at. Bit disappointing not to see some upfront cash and I suspect things will take longer delaying revenues etc. But they can now really get on with the Goliath development having learnt some valuable lessons
