12/4/2013 14:22 | simply that because you think that as you have been told , you think that info has therefore been released to all shareholders don't be obtuse - if you can help it! | phillis
12/4/2013 12:52 | Phillis 12 Apr'13 - 11:56 - 2449 of 2450 The problem is obvious for any sane person to see An RNS was issued So if I now use your method of analysing what has been said, the inference is that I have a mental health problem !!? | davidosh
12/4/2013 11:57 | Comfortable is general and normally 10 percent either side, full year guidance specific Easy really | nfs
12/4/2013 11:56 | The problem is obvious for any sane person to see An RNS was issued They have been saying something differently verbally to small groups of investors - according to you | phillis
12/4/2013 11:50 | Phillis...I simply do not see a problem. The company have been clear in what has been stated. Why did you not attend the Agm if you are so keen to dissect everything word for word ? I then arranged for the CEO to attend and speak at an investor presentation about ten days later and he answered detailed questions then. You did not attend that either presumably? I am not going to labour on this any further. | davidosh
12/4/2013 07:55 | inconsistent I am afraid "As is usual, and in a further year of global economic uncertainty, the board considers it too early to provide full year guidance." "We are comfortable with market forecasts (or whatever)" The latter is confirmation of what the Board currently expects to achieve | phillis
12/4/2013 01:12 | Phillis, I don't see a problem with the two statements: 1. It is too early to have any degree of confidence in whether forecasts will be met or exceeded. [RNS] 2. Based on trading to date and the sales pipeline, there is nothing to suggest that the forecasts won't be met, so far. [AGM] The statements seem consistent to me (I was also present at the AGM), and fair. Whether forecasts are met or exceeded, will depend on what deals close when. The picture should be clearer by the next trading update - should be late May. Cheers, Mark | marben100
11/4/2013 16:41 | It is not a question about anyone's particular interpretation The Company in its RNS said it wasn't giving guidance Then in open forum (I presume) at the AGM they apparently said they they were comfortable with market forecasts (whatever they are) This IS guidance! and completely at variance with the RNS that came over the wire | phillis
11/4/2013 16:31 | Phillis....If there are forecasts in the market and the company have not made any suggestion that they will not meet them or beat them at this early stage then clearly they are still comfortable with where the forecasts are currently pitched ! Makes sense to me and nothing price sensitive in that. If an investor has interpreted the recent statement as less bullish than another one who prefers to see the management at an Agm then that is individual assessment preference. I am comfortable with how the company is trading. | davidosh
11/4/2013 16:04 | gnmartin I was a CEO for 15 years I know what market forecasts are and I know what you can and can't say It's possible the IDOX guys were caught on the hop by a question from the floor LOL! | phillis

11/4/2013 10:29 | "This expansion places our engineering information management division in a stronger position to support the energy & utilities and process manufacturing industries in France and the growing Oil & Gas and Mining industries in Africa. The acquisition of Artesys will allow us to leverage our recent development work to internationalise our existing McLaren software products and further our strategic objectives of reaching new geographies." | aishah

11/4/2013 08:58 | Phillis, agreed, though Davidosh's is the received wisdom. It is my contention that a company should not be allowed to say it is comfortable with market expectations without saying what those market expectations are. To do otherwise gives an edge to those with access to "market expectations". Nigel Martin | gnnmartin
11/4/2013 08:10 | hard not to get the impression the recent dip in the share price was a tree shake by interested parties hoping to pick up stock on the cheap | sourgrapes2
11/4/2013 08:08 | david saying they are comfortable publicly is guidance no matter who puts the numbers out | phillis
10/4/2013 11:06 | Any company can say they are comfortable with market expectations. Forecasts are not their forecasts but those of externsal analysts. They answered our questions at the AGM. That is a public meeting. | davidosh
10/4/2013 10:44 | david how can the company be "comfortable with expectations" if they are not giving guidance | phillis
10/4/2013 09:10 | seems it's been a long time since a contract win was announced. | sourgrapes2
10/4/2013 08:01 | davidosh The problem is that normally IDOX trading updates are very bullish about how stonkingly well they have been doing. The latest update was far more muted and, whatever IDOX were prepared to say at presentations about things going well, they were not prepared to put this in an RNS. I think investors are just drawing the fairly obvious conclusion from IDOX's RNS. If IDOX revert back to their previous positivity, I am sure the share price will react accordingly. Cheers, Martin | shanklin |
