If progress has been at the best expected rate, then I might expect the drill to be somewhere close to the reservoir section by now (as I posted last week), and that some drilling fluid losses might be expected as they start to get into the horizontal (providing they're into a well fractured area of course). I'll be expecting some rumour leaks, but going by the SP, it's either a VERY tight ship, or they're not there yet.

As regards to flaring. Since they're planning to connect this well to the AM as a long-term producer, then they'll almost certainly run a proper well test (as opposed to just a DST) to be sure they're in a well connected fracture network. As such there would certainly be significant flaring, although whether this would get reported will depend on who's watching and not subjected to restricted reporting. But I wouldn't expect them to be anywhere close to well testing for at least a few more weeks yet.

BTW, Brent/WTI making a good recovery so far today, from yesterdays lows.... up almost $2/bbl.

Thanks Bounty. Yes the correlation is undeniable but positive news flow will triumph in the end. A low oil price is temporary but positive results from HUR will last through many cycles and ups and downs of the oil price. The oil price will produce 'noise' on the long term charts but does not alter the long term prospects which will make HUR a great investment.
